Remarks

Admission was online through CAP round. I got selected in Round 2. From an academic point of view, I feel this is the right place for studious kids. The college focuses more on learning and everything related to Engg is taught properly.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in electrical engineering and so I opted for this program and I have never regretted my decision to date The faculty here is very supportive and every faculty member has minimum MTech qualification and many of them have done PhD also.

Internships Opportunities

I had not applied for the internship through college. I managed to get it on my own but in case you are interested you can communicate with the department and/ or placement cell and they will definitely help you out.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement in the final year i.e. from Semester 7 onwards. There are some minimum criteria i.e 6.5 CGPA and all. For every company, the criteria vary. For core jobs, various companies visit like Burns & Mcdonnell, Godrej & Boyce, Tata Power, Torrent Power, Schneider Electric etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are something around 136000 there might be minor changes in amount with time. But for an open candidate, it is around 1.36 lacs. There is also an EBC scholarship available for which you can apply if eligible. Around 50% of fees in refunded if you are eligible and apply. Campus Life

Speaking the truth, it's more of like a school. You have to be in discipline. Other extracurricular activities are there in college but more focus will be there in academics. We do have 2 fests in a year wherein you can participate in various cultural and sports events and showcase your talent.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
