My College

I applied for VIT, Vellore. It is a great college. I liked it very much. I have to pass the VIT exam which is known as "Viteee". I didn't avail any quota for admission. We should have 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology in +2. We should be 17 years old or above. I have to pass a personal interview which was not very hard.

I chose this course because i like chemistry very much. The faculty student ratio is around 1:4 ratio with each branches mentored by minimum of around 60 facilities. Faculties are highly qualified with phd from iit. Faculties are friendly and teaches well with appropriate notes and grade interactions. Exams were conducted thrice in each semester including the final semester exam. Exams were moderate and acquiring 60% marks

Some of the companies that participated were Intel, Qualcomm, NetApp, Nokia, Philips, Titan, PayPal etc. The institute rolled out 7,771 overall offers. The final year main project is basically a research oriented study of algorithms.

The students become eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. Some of the recruiters that participated were Intel, Qualcomm, NetApp, Nokia, Philips, Titan, PayPal etc. The institute rolled out around 7000 overall offers marking an increase of 20.47% as compared to previous years. Mostly 90% of students applying for campus placements will be placed. I am planning to pursue Mtech

There was no fees hike for the past 5 years and it remains same. The total cost was affordable for a middle class family. My course costed my family around twenty lakhs. My college provides scholarship under GV School Development Programme. But i didn't qualify for any scholarships. I got my job after completing the course.

Riviera is the Annual fest in my college. It is a 4-day event that consists of sports competitions and social, cultural events. It is held in the month of February. My college has a big library with 7 floors. It has around 240000 books including a variety of journals and magazines. The classroom contains a white board with projector. There are various sports and vlubs in the campus. It also has outdoor and indoor courts over a large area. The college has Debate Club, Dance Club, Dramatics Club, Photography Club etc.

There are hostels fot both men and ladies. There are rooms with AC and Non-Ac. The room has a a cot, chair, study table, study lamp, bookshelf and a cupboard. The meals is very good and tasty. Hostel has veg and non-veg mess. The registration for hostel is provided at the time of admission. Each hostel has a warden.

The interview i faced was based on the branch i chose. It was not very hard. The exam was computer based test with multiple choice questions. I have to submit DD for twelve thousand rupees. I have to submit original documents such as birth certificate, +2 mark certificate, physical fitness certificate etc. I contacted a senior of my batch which i knew earlier. It made me easy to prepare for these rounds.
