Remarks

I cleared the entrance exam and then called for counseling, at counseling day we were put up to choose the preferred branches, there I choose the branch Fire and Safety. I was from the general category so I didn't get the privilege. The chances were given based on merit. By the time my turn came, the petroleum upstream branch was full. So I chose the 2nd option that is Fire and Safety.

I chose this branch because it was very unique and the placements were also good. There were 16 teachers in our department. The HOD had a Ph.D. some of the teachers were also Ph.D. and others were either pursuing Ph.D. or had completed Masters. Classes were held on a daily basis except on the weekends. Teaching was also good and with the help of teachers passing was not that difficult.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 338000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There was an increment of 10000 in fees every year. The scholarship was given to the students who had maintained more than 9 GPA throughout the semesters. I manage to secure 2 jobs from campus placement with a CTC of 4.02 LPA.

Campus Life

The first fest was the fresher's party which was conducted in the month of September. Then a fest called uurja was conducted in the month of November. The uurja was a 3-day fest in which there were many extracurricular activities and sports. There were also many clubs and student chapters to join according to the branch and preferences. Apart from that, Wow wednesday was conducted on Wednesdays every week.

Placement Experience:

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

UPES University brings in a different energy!!

Placement Experience:

Infy, Techno India, Brumha and many as techies are required all over. From a watchmaker to salt maker without a techie a business can't grow big. So, even though there are 500+ CSE students still 75 percent or so get placed easily from our campus.

Placement Experience:

I cannot say the placement about other branches but the placement for fire and safety is very nice the average package of fire and safety Engineering is about 10lpa and the companies that cone are also very reputable

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally good for circuital branches but as for lower branches either you have to go in core which is difficult(off campus it is easy , since you have a IIT tag) but non core placements are decents . From 7th semster one become capable for sitting in interviews. Highest package is around 2Cr as for average it ranges between 22-30 lpa Almost 100% students are placed except for those who with thier own startup or try for offcampus placements. My plans are for getting a MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad or Banglore.

I choosen this course because of my interest in the field of information technology . Faculties are very good and they have good teaching experience. Qualification for the faculties us 7to 8 years teaching experience and degree of PHD . Term exam held two times every year . Difficulty is moderate

The best place to study between mountains.

Applied to JUIT Solan for the same course and got accepted. This was the only other college in mountain area offering this course without needing to have maths in your 12th class.
