Course Curriculum Overview
We have the trimester system. I don't know the total number of faculties but there are 13-14 courses. There are 39 for the total year. It varies from course to course anywhere from 10% to say 50%.
Internships Opportunities
The highest stipend would be INR 3.5 lakhs per month. I am not aware of the median but INR 1.2 lakhs approx.
Placement Experience
The median salary would be, what I have read in reports should be in around INR 23 lakhs to INR 25 lakhs but I am not sure about the exact figure. I had read the report but it's not clear in my mind. About the top companies that had come so, we can see them by the sector-wise consultant, MMB, product management- Amazon, Flipkart, and light sprinkler, Microsoft. So these are the main ones. When it comes to marketing there are PNG, Asian Paints, Genman, Tyre APG, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is INR 3.5 lakhs per trimester. It translates to around INR 11.25 lakhs a year. The first is slightly more than the others. The total is a little more. So, there are a lot of scholarships. Firstly, on the basis of Merit in which the top 10 rank holders in the merit list, and then there are others on the basis of economic status, and a lot of other things are there. So, there must be around 8 to 10 different kinds of scholarships. We are made aware of that in the induction session as well.
Campus Life
Considering the pandemic situation, there are few restrictions like more than 8 people cannot assemble in a room. So, our campus life is a little restricted but it is amazing. The campus is really beautiful. Slowly, things getting on track as now almost 0 cases are on campus. When we came here, there were 39 cases on campus. So now, slowly the restrictions also easing out. Events are happening and are getting thrilled about campus life again. It's really good and the campus is very beautiful. Especially for me, I've come for and graduated from IIT Guwahati so, coming from there I wouldn't expect a beautiful campus.
Hostel Facilities
So, I'm an engineer. The mess is like a restaurant that is the difference I can feel because I had a very bad mess experience as an undergraduate student. I love the mess food and the hostels are amazing. I was fortunate enough to get the AC hostel. So, IIM Ahmedabad is a hot place. During the summers, the people who don't have any ACs have to find coolers and a way out. It is really difficult otherwise but I was fortunate enough to get an AC hostel. The hostels are very clean which is a really good thing.
Admission
There was no GD. In the WAT, I was mostly asked about land, acquisition, will, and land reforms in general. In the personal interview, so, I worked in not exactly the telecom sector but I worked in Samsung and our clients were from the telecom sector. So, I was asked about the telecom industry. At that time they asked about AGR dues, a lot of cases running between telecom giants, and the supreme. So, read about that and a little bit about my course curriculum under my undergraduate as well, the subjects I had. About the Ahmedabad experience, there were 2 members and both were faculty.
