Remarks

Chitkara has been ranked 75 in MBA. Its a good university with good academic records, infrastructure and placement. Admission to MBA is done on the basis of score in the CAT/MAT/NMAT/XAT/CMAT followed by GD round and PI round. The college is good for MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose MBA in marketing as that's my area of interest. The course curriculum provides a strong base in advertising, branding, market research, and online marketing. The faculty is of top notch and an expert in this area. They help us in visioning ourselves as future marketers.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I will sit for the internship next year. Many of my seniors applied for the internship and got it. One of them got to work with HDFC with stipend of 50000. Other recruiters for internship were: Mahindra, Zomato, UM Motors, JK Tyres, Hettich India, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Future Group, Aditya Birla, Atom Technologies, Franke Faber, Bluestar, Living Concepts, among others.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement record of the university is 90%. The top companies were Dabur, Reckit & Benchkisser, ITC, Nestle, Onicra, Colgate Palmolive, Axis Bank, Videocon, among others. The highest package offered was 32 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. I will sit for the placement next year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The MBA fees is not that expensive. However, the university also offers scholarship to its students. The scholarship is offered on the merit basis. Eligible ones can apply for it. The amount of scholarship varies.

Campus Life

4

The university campus life is amazing. There are many events organized such as alumni meet,, cricket tournament, UDAAN, film festival, interactive session, international symposium, and many more. There is also an activity club which engages students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel fees also includes the laundry charges. The mess charge is separate. The rooms are semi-furnished with bed, mattress, study table, chair and an almirah. The mess food is good and healthy too.

Admission

GD and PI were conducted for final MBA selection. The level was not difficult. The questions were not deep. They were general in nature. The GD was quite competitive. There were 15 students in a group for the GD round. I was lucky to get selected.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester or 4th year. Many companies like HDFC, ICICI, Local companies and firms visit for placement drive for various roles. The average package offered by university is around ?3-4 lakhs but only 30-40% of students successfully secure the on-campus placements.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do this degree since I was in 12th class. I wanted to be a doctor either by doing BDS or MBBS. This curriculum of a degree prepares well for the real words so that we can start our own practice, but you have to be willing to learn if you do not learn in your college properly. Then you might have to learn from outside, but it prepares you well for the real life. The exams are held once at the end of every year and the difficulty level of exams is moderate to high, so you have to study very seriously if you want to pass with good marks After the theory exams, they take the practical exams and there is equal mark distribution between theory and practical, and you have to obtain 50% marks for passing

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
