Entrance Preview

I did not have any idea about this college, when I professor(10+2) asked to me choose E&C saying it has good career option I went to CET and chose this course and when I was asked to choose college I chose MMEC because it was near to my hometown(Bagalkot) so thought it would be great and chose it blindly. Management is not so good but there are some faculty who are great at teaching. I scored 65% as couple of subjects didnt have faculty and we had to learn those on our own.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course curriculum is good but there were no faculty for couple of subjects which caused problem and we had to learn on our own and score in exam. Even though we faced problem but had to learn on our own mostly. I used to get notes from Senior's and then study from that and also discuss with others.

Placement Experience

1

This college did not have any placement so every time we had to run to other colleges seeking for placement and finally could not get any. We had to come out and get job off campus and it was recession then so it was really big mess. Mostly when some of friends got through on campus placement it was around 3-5LPA.

College Events

1

we had annual day celebration during which we had daily event like saree day, rose day, Suite day, Cultural day and some fun activities used to have this event within campus as day event and every one used to participate in dance or singing or some other activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Back then in 2007 it was kind of affordable but now I do not think so as fee is increased and govt quota itself is quite expensive. I had got free seat for 9200 Rs but I cannot compare that with present expense so if you have good amount of money then you can choose any college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no such option for General CAT ppl but I saw SC ST category people were claiming some scholarship and they were happy that they could use that money for buying books and other expense so good for them but not for all.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was like any other college. First you have internal exams where you should be scoring above 15 out of 25 and then final exams. Final exams were quite difficult as we found new set of questions than that we prepared so you have to study almost everything in syllabus to score more.

Admission

I got Govt Quota seat through CET and had to give some bribe as donation which was around 5K that time and for hostel some additional 10K per year. College was new campus so it was good and neat but hostel was dusty and it was not maintained properly in initial days.

Faculty

2.5

This college hardly had couple of good faculty, rest were either half knowledged or they were in college from long time just doing time pass but not giving quality teaching. Had to face this problem in few subjects which created lot of problems and then we had to rely on other college friends notes and discussions.

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
