Remarks

The inclusion of Banaras Hindu University among the top 10 institutes overall in 2020 rankings of NIRF was the reason I decided to do my BA from here. Along with NAAC accredition BHU is also approved by UGC. Students interested to do BA-Social Science from here must have 50% marks in XII and a valid BHU UET score also

Course Curriculum Overview

Social Science was among my favourite three subjects during XI, XII and thus I decided to do my Bachelor's degree in Social Science. I searched about it on Collegedunia and got to know about this programme in BHU which was a great option to get knowledge of the best quality. The time period of 3 years had a total of 6 semesters and exams were not that tough if one has done good exam preparation.

Internships Opportunities

No such round was there for my programme while the students of MBA ot other similar courses got to work in good job roles under pretty famous companies of their respective fields/domains which they enjoyed also

Placement Experience

As my course was a general degree programme thus no recruitments were their for BA while the overall campus placements of our university were pretty decent. There were visitors like Amazon, HCL and the Tata Group while the highest salary offered was INR 16 Lacs per annum. It gave students good opportunities for work.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The university (BHU)charges a total of INR 8,960 as the programme fee for BA- Social Science which can further be distributed asi INR 3420 on annual basis. The fee structure of BHU is thus pretty reasonable which can even be afforded by the students who are not that strong financially.

Campus Life

BHU is one of the largest institutes of Uttar Pradesh in terms of campus area and it also works as a plus point in overall campus life experience of the students. There were different societies for smooth arrangement of all academic and non-academic events among which the most famous one's are the Placement cell, Alumni cell, Academic Affairs committee and Quiz Club. The library of our university is also visited on regular basis by the students.

Hostel Facilities

I stayed at home during my graduation at BHU and that's the reason why I don't know much about the Hostel-Mess services of our university. Although I know that the annual hostel fee was INR 3,000 but I don't have any individual experience of the accommodation services.

Admission

The university selects students for the BA-Social Science programme as per the scores in BHU UET exam and seats are also allocated on the same factor. The condition to apply for admission is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognised board.

Good college for Degrees

Likes

I like the Teacher behavior and attitudes
I like the Sports curriculum , they conduct sports event monthly
I like the admin office, because it always neat and clean

Dislikes

The hostel and mess food is not good as expected
The placement system is too bad , no proper support
The student facilities is not good , like lifts etc

Placement Experience:

If you are BTech CSE student , you dont need to worry more because they invite good number of companies to take placement , but you need that particular skills to get placed. Almost 40 to 50% student got placement for an average of 4.5 LPA

The Placement of our College is quite good just because the university open recently on year 2021. The Average Placement is 4,00,000 per annum. And Higher Placement is 8,00,000 per annum. There is many companies who visited in our college like Suzuki,Eefco, Reliance,etc

Unveiling Campus Life and Academic Excellence

Likes

Professer behavior is very cool and good
Classes is conducted in normal class in which some classes have A.C while some not
Campus area is so big in which staff parking and student parking is separtely available

Dislikes

College time is bad . It is same as school timing
Student must maintain 75% attendence to avoid detention in CIA
It does not give a proper break after semester exam

Placement Experience:

The placement is average as same as other college . It provide 6-12 LPA package for who have skills as market required The placement criteria for student is above 8 CGP and no backlogs in all semester My plans after getting the degree is to join a good company for a good life The percentage of getting placements is above 80%

The hospital is huge very and also carry massive patient load .
You can easily develop skill in hospital area due to huge numbers or patient that visit everyday.
They don't miss any classes each and every class will be taken by the teachers every day .

Dislikes

They don't have their college of nursing building.
The hostel is not so good ,food quality is worst .
There are so many restrictions in girls hostel they don't Allow to go home even .

The curriculum of college of nursing is well developed they used ppt and videos for better learning of students as well as they have their own skill labs where students can get new skills and able to reduced their fear .

i dislike thing in my collage are the students are not mature.

i my collage there was a big grounds for different games but the game should we inly during and specific program.

Think before you opt for this college.

Likes

The infrastructure and greenery was really good. Play grounds, running track and a sports building. There were respective charges for availing any sports facility like gym, swimming etc.
College fest was average with the college inviting well known artists like Milind Gabba, Nikita Gandhi, Raftar etc.
Girls- boys ration is good but the quality of students and environment is below average.

Dislikes

None of the teachers were highly trained to teach subject matter. The administration was always finding ways to fine students may it be for attendance or any hostel related expenses.
Hostel food was real trash. After even complaining on a regular basis it was upto no good.
There were many restrictions for hostel students like for even going out we needed passes and had to call our parents, they don't provide leave if u want to go home during the session.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are been done but they force u to sit for non core companies. Like I was doing BCA and I had to sit for slaes, marketing and in field sales persons job interviews. Mass eecruiters like infosys and wipro also came which they take like 200 to 300 students.

One of the best colleges of firozabad

First of all I would like to tell you about the staff of my college. The staff of my college is very polite.
The atmosphere of my college is very clean
My college also has the facility of extra classes and library.

Dislikes

It is better if the environment is clean as well as cool then I face a problem of trees.
And if there are more than one lecturer in the staff, it will be easier to have lecturers for one subject.

I decided to choose this course because I wanted to know deeply about the inner workings of plants or humans or this is my desire which can be fulfilled by taking this course.

Amazing college!

Admission:

To get admission, I had to first fill application form and then pay a small fee for applying to the college, then after submitting the marks scored in 10+2, students were called for a campus interview upon which the students were selected.

If you are really passionate you will get amazing opportunities to get experience.

I have applied in 5 college such as BHU AU DU BBAU and vishwa bharati Many for BA and BSc course through CUET UG, I got BHU and AU but at the end I have switched to BHU because of it is closer to my home and well known for me. I got seat in AU but same time BHU also, so I have to decide one. I put my seat for upgradation and then BVoc HTM. From 2022, there is only one entrance exam to take admission in all central state University in india. That is CUET common university entrance test conducted by NTA. Excellent Place for higher education

My college provide best education and hostel facility in india.Security is very good. Managment is very good.Transport facility inside the campus in now very good. Placements : The institute actually has very good placement records due to its outstanding alumni and also due to the presence of placement and training cell working day and night to indulge its students with skills and leadership. So, the placements in our college have never been a problem. Infrastructure : With almost hundred years on the calendar, our campus is luxurious from inside and filled with modern day necessities from inside. We have every resource that a student wants in his college life such as largely spaced room, Wi-Fi everywhere around the campus and many more things. So, the campus is unmatched. Faculty : The faculty members are nice, and I found them very helping and motivating. On the other hand, the course curriculum is a bit boring but essential too. A load of academics is very less compared to other IITs and hence students can do anything they want and could carry on their interest. I feel very proud to be a part of IIT BHU. Other : There are three main fests in our college, Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha. All the fests are held at very high level.
