Many universities accept JEE marks as admission criteria. The admission process is administered by JAC(Joint Admission Council). They are responsible for everything related to the admissions whether it be the college or branch. The admission process was really easy. You just need to create a priority list of the branch and college according to your preference and then you will be allotted the same depending on your rank. After many rounds once your seat is confirmed you just pay your fees submit all the required documents for verification and that gets the job done.,
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose electrical engineering because it's one of the most reputed branches of DTU. The electrical department of DTU is a bit strict when compared to other departments but that also comes with an advantage. The teachers are extremely qualified and have an interest in teaching. There are multiple faculties for one subject that make the faculty to student ratio very good. The teaching methods are very good, but the term exams are a bit difficult compared to other branches.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are also offered to students by the university by many big companies. The average internship offer is about 50k per month so that is a very nice thing to see. Not many students get internships but the quality of internships is very high. Every student who can grab an internship gets a PPO, which accounts for a very secured job.
Placement Experience
The placement of DTU is very good. The average package for a student is around 10 lakh. For each branch it is different. For CSE it is easily around 17 lakh. Even some internships offer a stipend of 2 lakh per month. So the placements and internships for DTU is one of the best. Every big company you name comes here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for someone who's not availing any financial help is a bit high. The average fees of one year comes out to be 2 lakh and that it high considering it is a government university. The fees should be less. In this covid season we are not able to attend any practical labs session nor any co-curricular activity still our fee has not been reduced. Personally i think that the fees should be reduced.
Campus Life
DTU is all about co-curricular activities. First of all, there is countless fest held every year and each one is bigger than the previous one. The social life in DTU is way better than many universities due to the departments being chill about everything. Sports facilities are par with any university.
