Review on CMRIT

I got into CMRIT through 2nd round of KCET counseling. As I am from the general merit category, I was not eligible for any quota. I had to submit my 10th,12th and KCET marks cards during the admission process.

I chose this course because I had an interest in the subject of electronics. The class size ranges from 45-50 and there is a class teacher for every class. The students are divided into 3 batches and each batch has a mentor that guides them throughout the year. The teachers here are highly qualified and are very friendly and easy to talk to.

Various MNCs as well as government organizations via the college portal offer internship opportunities. The roles vary by the field of interest of the particular student. Recently Qualcomm had offered an internship as well as companies such as Abhyaz and so on and so forth.

The students start being placed by companies from the 3rd year itself. There have been packages of more than 21 LPA offered as well as there is a median package of around 4 LPA. More than 90% of the students get placed in the placement drives.

The college has an annual fest named 'Cultura'. It is a fun night of celebration where many people from the music and acting space are invited. The library has a large space with lots of books and also has seats for students to sit and study. They also provide e-library facility. There are various sports events being conducted all year round. There are college basketball, football, and cricket teams that participate at national and international levels. Even students individually take part in a variety of sports. There are various sites being managed by students pertaining to a variety of topics such as social works, entrepreneurship and even meme sites.
