Rourkela institute of technology an old and good college

First I applied to two government colleges in our Rourkela i.e Utkalmani Gopanadhu College and S.K Dav govt polytechnic but I didn't get the branch I want that is electrical so I take admission to Rourkela institute of technology college in electrical engineering. The admission criteria were a long process as we have to prepare for the Diploma entrance test(det) then as per rank we should given choice to select the college and the minimum age is 16 years. The admission process was simple we have to seat in counselling and give our documents to get admission to our desire college then have to go to the college deposit the first year fee then the admission was done.

I choose electrical engineering because it's a demanding course in diploma and I can enjoy the electrical things because I am interested in electrical thing from my childhood. The teachers are highly qualified and are very professional the teaching method was very promising here. The semester exam is held every 6 months of interval and is hard to pass in it.

I got placements in the Honda showroom in a junior engineer position in the service department with a stipend of 13000 per month. There are also many students who got placements in Tata Steel and Nalco Pvt Ltd.

From the 5th semester, a student will be eligible to sit on campus for placements here. There are a lot of companies who visited our college like Honda Pvt Ltd, Patanjali, etc. The highest package offered to me was 2.1lakh per annum and the average package offered to me was 1.8lakh per annum.

There is no price hike policy here and the cost of the study is on the higher side as it is a private college. I got the job in the Honda showroom in Rourkela on my first attempt in my campus sitting with a stipend of 13000 per month.

The library was the best place where anyone who wants to study in the silent environment can come here and there is a lot of books available to make our skill kore developed. There are sports like cricket, football and volleyball tournament were held in every winter season in our college. We also have extracurricular activities like Community service and leadership positions.
