Remarks

I applied for mechanical engineering in Subharti University but didn't get there becuse my first priority was KIIT and i got it easily. I availed OBC quota for my admission in KIIT , it reduced cutoff by 5-10 marks. Admission criteria is very easy, i applied for counseling and merit list preparation on KIIT website. The minimum marks required is 75% in 12th and there is an age limit of 25 years. The admission process is to apply for counseling and merit list preparation, after getting on the merit list, appear on the college campus with all the required documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose Mechanical engineering because I have a deep interest in the subject matter and I want to do something new in this field. There are 2 teachers for every 60 students at the campus, it's quite good. All the teachers at KIIT are qualified and they teach in regional language. They are all highly experienced. Exam at the campus are conducted 6 times per semester and they are all moderate level papers, one can pass them easily.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for the placement in fourth year or 4th semester. Companies like Siemens , Ashok Leyland , Thermax , and regional firms visit our college. The highest package was 12 lakhs per annum and the lowest was 3 lakhs per annum. The average package is 5 lakhs per annum. 75% of the students get placement in the last year. I want to do a job in Private firms like Ashoka Leyland , etc after my campus placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The college fees hike is not very much, it remains same for almost 2-3 years. Total study will cost here around 7-8 lakhs for whole 4 years. Its quite affordable in this branch. There is very little financial help available for the students, one can apply for National Scholarship Program to get relaxation on college fees.

Campus Life

5

Fest at the campus is very grand and it's named KIIT FEST. This is a three days celebration. It happens in the month of December every year. The college has its own library and it contains thousands of books and journals on all subjects. Classrooms are fully equipped with all the facilities like smart boards, projector, sitting arrangements etc . There is a positive environment in the classroom. Various sports games are played at the campus as a measure of extracurricular activities, like cricket, badminton. Debate and essay writing also happen timely. There is no such special social group on the campus run by students.

Other Applied Colleges

Subharti University | Diploma mechanical engineering

I got admission in KIIT easily , and it was my first choice.
