What Students Say

Likes

The campus was very much well maintained and clean
The best thing was we had our college and hostel in the same campus premises
And the teachers were very much helping in studies

Dislikes

I mostly disliked the canteen food which was very much minimal
We had some real partialities between juniors and seniors
The class experience should be more interesting

Course Curriculum Overview

I had pursued my electronics and telecommunications engineering from this college i actually had my goals straight from the very beginning that if I want to purse something good I will be choosing this stream only And kiit polytechnic was one of the best colleges in Odisha which provided great education to students under SCTEVT

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I have paid was somehow INR 1,13,500 in which our hostel fees was included too There was admission fees taken at that time cause we had to give one kiitee exam to secure good grades and on behalf of that we used to get scholarships and study loans

Campus Life

Regarding our campus life the most funny part was we only used to get outing for 2 hrs We used to had college from 10 to 5 and outing from 5 to 7 we used to be very much excited when the outing time used to start but at the same time we were also really tired attending classes Group of friends and social activities made our social life easier

Admission

As I have mentioned before Kiit Polytechnic was one of the most popular colleges in Odisha providing great quality education as it was also one of the oldest diploma institution it maintained it's authenticity and pride like always Honestly I had also applied in CTTC central tool room and training centre but after I had done my Addmission at kiit I got the letter from cttc that you are selected as I had already maded up my mind I choose what I wanted to do

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio was very much flexible the faculties really treated us as there friends and taught us the real life example of how to deal with real world problems and scenarios We had dedicated tutor mentors who used to listen each and every problem we used to had that might be regarding studies or other personal matters

The view about the college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester and 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. The name of company are JSW , IMFA , ADITYA BIRLA , JSL etc company are visited. The highest package is 25,000 thousand and avarage package is 12,000 thousand per company. My plans after getting the degree is preparing the junior mining inspector.

I enjoyed my college life a lot

In our college, campus comes every year and only 70% of the students are able to achieve it because many of my batchmates have back papers. There are many companies like JSW, Royalinfield , Tata Hitachi,hindalco,and different type of companies will hiring our college students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific aspects of the curriculum I want to become a mechanical engineer but I will stay in civil engineering. The curriculum prepare you for real world applications but we need good pratical knowledge which will help the students and knowledge Will increase. Students from mechanical, electrical, electronics most of the companies recruited. The companies like amns mittal,Sms,hfcl,tata Hitachi, hindalco, yokohama, Bajaj, tvs, Jindal, Tata steel, MarutiSuzuki, tega, motherson, dana and etc. The highest package is upto 2.5lakhs per annum. And average is upto 1.5 lakha per annum. The students which are selected there percentage was more than 70%

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

I love my college

Placement Experience:

does not have proper playground for outdoor games ,except this it has all the necessary facilities. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries ans sports arena are all air conditioned and well maintained. The quality of placements at our college is not so good. The percentage of students placed every year is quite less. The salary package offered to bcom graduates were not so good. In recent time due covid 19 we were unable to attend the placement cell.

No of offers made is minimum five and maximum 15 of one company according to their vacancy. 100 percentage get place. Average package is 2 lakh and highest is 4.5 to 5 lakh . My plan to join a company and getting experience of that company.

Kiit review 2022

Eligibility criteria are 60% marks in the 10th or 12th board exam. I got the application form from KIIT polytechnic website, application fees are 0 rupees and the application date was from 2nd July. For the seat, a reservation is required 5000rupees. I want to see the admission process online, I think this will be a good improvement in the admission process....Read More

Mechanical Engineer (Diploma) in KIIT

I applied for mechanical engineering in Subharti University but didn't get there becuse my first priority was KIIT and i got it easily. I availed OBC quota for my admission in KIIT , it reduced cutoff by 5-10 marks. Admission criteria is very easy, i applied for counseling and merit list preparation on KIIT website. The minimum marks required is 75% in 12th and there is an age limit of 25 years.
