Remarks
The ones who are applying for Btech, BE and other courses after qualifying JEE Mains can get admission in NSUT, DTU, IITD and IGDTUW(only for female candidates) in the desired branch like CSAI, CSE, EE and many others according to their ranks in JEE Mains after JAC counselling rounds which is a compulsory process to get admission in the above mentioned four colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
According to my rank in JEE Mains I got an ICE branch in the Netaji Subhash University of Technology which is a very useful branch for both Tech and Non-Tech placement opportunities in various company placements. The faculty here are well educated and qualified in every branch. Even the guest faculty who comes to teach is very well educated and hardworking. They guide the students well that help them to cope with the new subjects in their respective branches. There are around 75 students in each section and there is 1 or 2 section of each branch. The alumni are quite good in the college.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Google, Yahoo, Accenture, TCS, etc. give various types of group projects during the internship. Like for Tech companies you can make an app in a group or individual that can help to impress the companies owners. The stipend of Rs 8000 per month is given to a student but this may vary according to which department you are being hired. Overall this college is a good platform for the students to fulfil their dreams to be a part of good company.
Placement Experience
Students should maintain a cgpa of 7 or above to get the opportunity to sit in every company placement rounds. From 3 years, a student becomes eligible for placements rounds. If they are successful in interviews then they get internship offers or even the job offer directly from various companies like Google, Accenture, Yahoo, TCS and many more. Every 8 of 10 people get an internship offer and 5 of 10 get a permanent job in the company. Even if you get the internship I'm a good company but to be more qualified is not a bad idea definitely. So Mtech after Btech and Masters in a particular subject are good options available. But to skip a permanent job offer with a good salary is not suggestive personally.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since I'm pursuing Btech in NSUT so it is a 4 year course and fees increases every year with a certain amount like fees for 1 year is Rs 1,90,000 , now for 2 year it is Rs 2,02,000. But the total fees for 4 years is approx 8 lakhs rupees. Since it is a govt college so its fees is less as compared to iiitd. There is a fee concession procedure for those who are from certain quota. Certain amount of fees is refunded to them in their accounts. The good news is that the branch topper also gets the scholarship in 5 figures from the college side. If I talk about placements and stipend then the average package here is about 7-8 lakhs per annum which is ofcourse more dependent on the student capability but since it is a prestigious college of Delhi so various renowned companies come here to give placements opportunities.
Campus Life
There are various cultural societies in the college like Junoon society for photography, Mirage society in dance, etc. There are even societies for coding and computer application that help the students to improve their skills in the coding area. Some are paid societies for the same purpose too which are also very helpful and innovative. Various sports facilities and well maintained grounds for sports like cricket, football, chess, basketball, badminton, etc. These societies also include many competitions once in a or 2 weeks and also give prizes to the winners. NSUT has a fest named MOKSHA NSUT which is being held in July or August. It is a kind of entertainment programme in which students can also participate and it is too enjoyable after a busy schedule in the college.
