Entrance Preview

Kerala state entrance examination, i got a score of 142 the college is near to my home so i thought of preferring it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is based on cochin university of science and technology. The curriculum includes all aspect of the selected stream selected by the student. The initial year is common for all streams. As a general studies regarding all branches are studied. From there on the course stream courses begin on. The curriculum needs improvement in areas where students are more familiar with work atmospheres.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there is a internship period of 2 weeks after the break of 6th semester. College provides the travel and expense charges after we provide with internship certificate.

Placement Experience

A Training and Placement Cell (TPC) functions in the college under the super vision of a faculty member for the purpose of identifying training needs of students and arranging training program in campus and off-campus and placement interaction with prospective recruiting firms. So

Fees and Financial Aid

I received merit cum means scholarship after one year. The scholarship is offered to minority students based on merit. Everyone eligible can apply for it.

Exam Structure

Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together are eligible for admission. Exams are chilled out.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
