MIET Review

Initially, I applied for The Business School, Jammu but due to t net getting short-listed for the PI round i couldn't able to take admission here, that's why i took admission in MIET because it is also an affiliated university by the University Of Jammu. I haven't applied for any quota for taking admission here. The admission criteria of MIET is:- Graduation with minimum of 50% marks, need to appear either in CAT/MAT/CMAT, no such regardings the minimum age and all.

I choose this course because wanted to develop myself for the corporate world. There were 7 teachers over 75 students and the faculty in MIET is so good and have done degrees like Mphil, PhD, MBA and follows virtual approach like presentations through PPTs and always look up to the student's problems like their own.

Companies like HDFC, ICICI, Pepsi, Coca Cola visit the college campus and give internship opportunities to the students and gives them an average stipend of Rs. 4000-10000 depends upon the nature of work. I, personally got the role of managing the financial section of the company.

After the completion of 2nd-semester exams, the students become eligible for the campus placements and companies like HDFC, ICICI, Pepsi, etc. are the companies that visits the campus and provide internship opportunities to the students and offer them a salary of 4 lakh- 7 lakh per year and almost 55-60% of students get the campus placements.

The fee structure of MIET is quite affordable and reasonable it will not cost you much as other private universities charge. MIET doesn't provide any kind of scholarship opportunities to the students and companies which visit the campus for providing internships usually provide an average stipend of Rs. 4000-8000.

Every year MIET conducts an annual fest named as "Sammilan" for which the students eagerly wait for and gets a chance to showcase their talent. There is no such shortage of books and journals in the library during the exam days and normal days. The classroom has all the amenities available in the class and has projectors installed in the classrooms. MIET also promotes sports and extra-curricular activities in campus and conducts sports activities every year in campus. ABVP and NSUI are the social groups run by the students.

The topic of my GD was "Do we need more entrepreneurs than managers" and after that PI round happened where they ask me some basic questions regarding general awareness and current affairs and after that, i got an offer letter from the university and i finally i got admission here. With the help of my cousins and my college teachers I prepared for these rounds.
