My Joyful Journey in Sarsuna College

I applied behala college and new Alipore college apart from Sarsuna College. But the first date of counseling happens in Sarsuna College and the admission procedure is smooth. So I opt for this college. Minimum marks obtained in zoology honors is in 12th board 55% marks in biology. Age limit is not a barrier.

I chose this course because I love this subject in class 12 and opted for zoology honors. Student: faculty ratio is 35:6.The faculty of our college is very well qualified and experienced. They use ppt; pdf notes; handwritten notes for a better understanding of the curriculum. Exams are semester-based and more or less difficult. If anyone studied from the beginning of the course they will definitely answer all the questions.

Internshala gave me an internship for some time. Some activities and project work they gave me during the internship. Students also got Swami Vivekananda scholarship provided by the government. Some girls also got a Kanyashree scholarship. Minority students also got an Oasis scholarship.

After getting completed graduation, most of the students got jobs in various fields. Wipro, techno India-like companies also offer jobs. Around 60-70% of students get placement after graduation. I planned for MSc in Zoology from the University of Calcutta.

Due to covid 19 infection and subsequent lockdown, some fees are adjusted by the college. I didn't get any scholarships. Some girls of our department get a stipend from the government i.e Kanyashree. Most alumni of this course acquire jobs in various fields.

College Social is conducted in October month. Various types of national and international books and journals are available in the college library and also in the departmental library. Sports happen in the month of January on college premises and winners also get prizes. An indoor gaming room is available. Sarsuna Trinamool chatra Parishad- a group created by seniors of our college.
