MIET MBA REVIEW

I applied for the TBS (The Business School University Of Jammu) but didn't take admission there because they don't provide the MBA course in the marketing sector that's why I opted for the MIET. For taking admission to MIET, the minimum marks criteria are 50% marks in graduation and need to appear in the CAT/MAT/CMAT.

I opted for this course because I wanted to look upon my family business and wanted to expand it more by learning some smart and attractive marketing techniques. In our batch, we had 10 teachers and 60 students. The faculty in MIET is just excellent and holds multiple degrees from the well-reputed institutes and always take a stand for their students. The term exams conduct on the time and take place in three phases i.e mid-term, end-term, viva.

For the internship purpose companies like ITC, Pepsi, Coca Cola, ICICI, etc. visits the campus for giving internship opportunities to the students and give an average stipend of 5000-8000 vary on the nature of work and performance of the individual.

From the beginning of the 3rd semester students become eligible for the campus placements and companies like ITC, Pepsi, Steel related industries, etc. and offer the students an average salary of 5lakh-9lakh per annum. Approximately 65% of students get campus placements from the university.

The fee structure in MIET is really reasonable and affordable it doesn't cost you much as an MBA is an expensive degree. MIET doesn't provide any kind of scholarship scheme to the students. Companies like ITC, Pepsi, ICICI, etc. visit the campus and provides a stipend of a minimum of 10000rs. for the internship

Samillan is the annual cultural-tech fest that the university conducts on the campus where the students across India come and take participate and show their talent. The library of MIET has all the books and journals from the different departments with the latest editions. The classrooms are fully ventilated and have projectors installed in each class for presenting the PPTs. MIET also conducts a sports fest on the college campus every year and also organize NCC activities in the university. ABVP is the social group run by the students in MIET.

The topic of my GD was " Can failures teach you important lessons in life?" and the candidate who clears the GD round gets a call/email from the university for the PI round and after clearing the PI round the name of the selected candidates get short-listed and get a call from the university for his/her admission.
