Remarks

I have applied in TBS and IIM Jammu as well but didn't make it to the final list. So then I got admission in MIET JAMMU . I didn't availed any quota. For the admission, you have to apply online and you must be a graduate of any stream with 50% Mark's. You should also appear in CAT or MAT.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did my bachelor's in finance that's why I did my MBA with a specialization in FINANCE. The faculty here is very good and supportive. They understand your grievances and in each semester they conduct 2 exams - MST and MAJOR exams

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college also provides internship opportunities to students. The basic stipend that any company offer here is Rs. 5000. I worked as an intern in BD SECURITY and my work was mainly related to handling their finances.

Placement Experience

My batch got 100% placement. The campus provides good placement opportunities as compare to other B- SCHOOLS in jammu. The highest package was of Rs. 7 lakh and the lowest package was of Rs. 2.5 lakh . Companies like OPPO, ITC , HDFC etc often visit our campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Miet is bit costly than THE BUSINESS SCHOOL, as it's a private college but it comes under Jammu university. It will cost you Rs. 4 lakh during your 2 year of MBA. and they also provide campus placement and internship opportunities.

Campus Life

Campus life in MIET is great, you will not regret a single moment spent there.. Every year they conduct a fest named "samailan" wherein students of different departments get the opportunity to showcase their talent. The college also has libraries and all the basic amenities.

Interview Experience

Yes, there was a GD and PI ROUND. The topic of our GD was Artificial intelligence and business. And after that, they conducted our personal interview. I didn't perform well in GD as it was the first GD of my life but I did well in the Interview.

Review about the The Business School, University of Jammu

Likes

The course is very much affordable as comparison to the other colleges providing the MBA
The Campus environment is very much eco friendly
Well qualified staff that too very much experienced

Dislikes

Small batch size the total size of the batch is almost 60 -65 students
Self finance seat costs almost 3 lakh rupees in addition to the course fee
There is much provision for the reservations

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements from 3rd semester itself. The companies that provide placement in the department are ICICI BANK, AMAZON , ITC, BIRLA OPUS, HDFC BANK and many other . The ICICI Bank offers the highest package i.e. almost 10 lakh .

Being consistent is more important than being motivated

Likes

The library of the college is good I mean you will get every type of book.
Park is very neat and clean and is maintained very well.
Infrastructure is too good neat and clean.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is not too good I mean very few students gets accomodation
All the faculties are not too supportive to students.
Campus placement percentage is very less (8%)

I choose the course because I was working in a private company as a team leader where I feel still need to learn more management skills to enhance my career at a better place.the faculty of the college is moderate.the semister exams are conducted very timely.

Golden Days of College

Likes

Flexibility of availing library facility when required
Campus is good and needs to be upgraded more.

Dislikes

Even these days where technology is advance, faculties are working as per old module
Campus should be renovated and new technology should be introduced

I wanted to to Bca as i was into softwares and my interest has always been into technology. 40 students over a faculty Most of the Faculties were PHD and well educated and their teaching method was above par It was never on time and it wasn't much difficult to pass exams

Placement Experience:

Last semester students become eligible for campus placement in the central university of Jammu.Companies visited Aditya Birla group job profile- Talent Acquisition HR, BYJU'S - Human Resource Manager, Innvalous Technology - Inside sales marketing /etc, Highest placement package offered 10 LPA CTC. 50 % of students get placed from the central university of Jammu with a good package. My plan is to start my own business in the field of marketing.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester, students become eligible for the campus placements and students starts getting job offers from various companies such as Pepsi, Hdfc, Axis, Unilever, etc. with a starting package of 4lakh-6lakh per annum. Almost 80% of the students every year gets the campus placements.

Placement Experience:

As mentioned earlier, TBS has strong industry collaborations with various elite corporate entities visiting here to offer campus placements to students. The students become eligible to sit for campus placements in Semester Third only. A good number of students receive placement offers making TBS the first choice of students who want to pursue an MBA in Jammu.

I chose this college as I liked the campus because where it is located that is known as the heaven of India. As we know Jammu & Kashmir's climate is very awesome and the college is near to the city, the airport and they offer the best foreign exchange program that helps in studying abroad.
