Remarks

The institute has set up Master's program in public policy to produce the professionals who are interested to serve the public interest. The program is open for the students of all backgrounds. Bachelor degree/ Master degree in Arts /Comnerce/ M.Sc degree / 4 years Bachelor degree etc are some academic criteria. MPP program doesn't need a mandatory work experience for SF/SW/ FA and any other students but the submission of valid GATE score is necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview

The program's total credits are 163 which is divided in 4 semesters. Project works are mainly done in second year. Students may choose elective of their choice in semester 2. Corresponding elective from semester 1 is a prerequisite. Students have healthy relation with the faculty members.

Placement Experience

In the midst of COVID- 19 the institute started virtual placements for its 2019-2020 students. The highest and average salary package range from INR 20.43 LPA to 10 LPA. Some of the reputed companies for institute's all time recruiters list include - Samsung, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The academic courses of the institute contain different GOI and state scholarships for M.Tech students. DAE, AERB, MERC, MPCB etc fellowships are provided by IIT Bombay. Selection of this scholarship begins from the first semester.

Campus Life

Life of IIT Bombay is energetic and thrilling. There are plenty numbers of co-curricular activities whether it is technical or cultural or social or sports to remove the boredom of the students. Some of the clubs like - The Scrabble club, Ham club, Astronomy club etc are famous.

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

Placements start as soon as the acedemic start and they continue throughout the year. The placements are 100% for the final placements. The highest CTC is 26.3 LPA, average is 15.24 LPA, while the lowest is around 9 LPA. Most preferred companies are the MNCs and the asset management companies and banks, which offer CTC around the mean. The placement process is completely driven by the placement committee and the process is very transperent. there were more than 76 recruiters that hired from SIMSREE last year

My admission to this college has been a blessing because I have witnessed the most polite and supporting teachers who are not biased on any basis and are always ready to help. The ambience of the college is also nice. Special reference to the office staff, the office staff is super polite, helpful and supporting and they are very joyful and always cheer you up.
