B.Tech-CSE ; IIT Bombay

IIT Bombay is among the top IITs in India and that's why I chose it for my BTech. It was ranked 3rd by NIRF and 2nd by The Week for BTech program in 2020 annual rankings. IIT Bombay is accredited with AICTE and UGC and admissions here are similar to all other institutions of the IIT Group. The seats here are given as per JOSAA and the scores in JEE are referred for the admissions

CSE is arguably the most opted BTech branch of the field and has a wide career options for the students. IIT Bombay is counted among best IITs and faculty here is no lesser than any other Institute of the group. The 4 year course is oriented towards computer engineering and has a total of 8 semesters.

The internship offer I got was made to me by Uber and it was worth INR 29,000. The time duration of the program was 8 weeks and it was very handy to provide me with industrial exposure of the best possible quality.

Nearly 92% students of BTech were able to get placed during campus placements of our batch. Both international and domestic packages of very handsome worth were offered during the round and the average salary for our batch was INR 20 LPA. The quality of placements can also be estimated from the total number of international offer's numbering around 160. Top recruiters of the drive were Google, Uber, Microsoft, IBM and Microsoft.

The total fee for BTech-CSE program at IIT Bombay is INR 5.19 Lacs.The students belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) or the Economically weaker section can get grants and aids to reduce their financial pressure. The NRI students will have to pay a higher fee than the normal structure.

Mood Indigo, Cultural fest, sports fest and Tech fest are the most famous events of IIT Bombay. The institute has a number of seminar halls, auditorium and sports facilities through which students get to have the best possible experience of campus life.Cultural cell,sports committee, placement committee and the alumni association cell.

The facilities were separated for both genders.Rooms were available in single/double & triple sharing and they had all basic things required for students comfortness. With accommodation availability, there is availability of a variety of sports and food outlets also.Our mess was also built in a large area and it had a well organised infrastructure to serve students with the best of food services.

The score in the Joint Entrance Exam is the prominent factor for admissions to all IIT institutes of the country. The JOSAA counselling round is a centralised round for allocation of seats in NITs/IITs of the country and my admission to IIT Bombay was done through the same process .
