Remarks

I applied for iitm VIPs surajmal. My first preference was iitm and I got this college. Last year cut off for my college was 2700, I scored 2300 rank this year and I got this college. The admission process was a bit lengthy as after submitting all the documents one has to stand in a long queue for fee payment, which took a lot of time. Overall the process was very clear, the staff present there were polite and helpful and they made the registration process easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to look forward to business so this course was well suited for me than any other course. All the faculty members of the college are friendly helpful and polite. We have one mentor handling 50 students at a time which seems enough for the discipline and to maintain class decorum. All the faculty members of the college are well qualified and the teaching method is good. Even in the online classes, they made the concepts very clear for the students.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for bcom hons in iitm is 100000 per annum approx. All the ggsipu colleges have a similar fee structure. Even during this time of Corona, college fees were not reduced they charged us the same as it was charged in the offline mode.

Campus Life

Ggsipu college organises a common fest for their colleges. Iitm organises fest name sapiens for their students it includes a lot of games and competitions. Digital games like pubg and ludo are also included in this. College allows students to make groups and work in societies to achieve the common goal which develops unity among the students and is so much fun. College offers society like dance society, drama society, music, bhangra etc The classrooms are very neat and clean. Air conditioners and proper air ventilation are in the classes.

I would say, the curriculum is also good, like we have labs, and tutorial classes also, in which students get their answers and their doubts are solved. Area of improvement - There should be proper labs of python lecture classes.

The life you should live in college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thorough and pertinent, in my opinion. I chose this course because it helps me understand real-world business situations by covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of commerce, such as accounting, economics, and business law. The subjects are helpful for both real-world employment and future studies like an MBA or CA. Although the course prepares us well, it could be enhanced by including more hands-on learning opportunities, internships, and professional guest lectures. To make lessons more interesting, teachers can employ more interactive techniques like group discussions and digital resources. Exams are scheduled appropriately, but occasionally the timetable feels constrained and leaves little time for review. The exam is at a moderate level and assesses more than just memorisation; it tests our comprehension of subjects.

The campus placement is fairly good with kpmg, Deloitte, Genpact, Accenture. The average package usually ranges from Rs 5-6 LPA while highest have gone to Rs 23 lakhs in recent years. The placements are bagged by proactive students usually with good communication skills and academic records.

A students insight on his college

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.
