I secured admission through mhcet. I had scored 138 back then. I opted for this college for its reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very good. The college boasts of highly qualified faculty and the processors also take up consultancy work for industries. This gives students an opportunity to work on real world problems along with academics. The course curriculum is demanding and people passing out from the institute have it easy when they pursue their masters.
Internships Opportunities
Since the college is over 150 years old and has a good reputation, several industries provide internship to students.
Placement Experience
Placement is almost 100% the few who don't get placed are generally very weak academically or lack soft skills. In case of my batch of 2009, the placements happened bang in the middle of recession. Yet most students had 2 job offers at hand ( one IT and one core/dream).
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government institute fees are highly affordable. I did my entire engineering for less than 120000. Additionally, freeship is provided to economically challenged students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarship programs are available. Besides the fees are highly affordable and freeship is provided to economically challenged students.
Admission
Admission was based on CET score and followed a rank based system with people having higher scores getting admission first.
Faculty
Highly qualified. All asst professors have a PhD and the junior most faculty members are also required to have a master's degree in engineering. They are experts in their respective fields. Some of them have vast industry experience.
