Entrance Preview

I gave CET Entrance exam wherein I scored 136/200 in 2012 and I opted for TSEC because of its good reputation and placements & guidance of my teacher. I got offline admission on merit basis in TSEC.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college faculty were strict enough towards attending lectures and practicals keeping the margin of 75% attendance failing which students were not allowed to sit for periodics exam. Course structure was not at all good from research point of view. Its basically a 4years of Race to get BE. Degree.

Internships Opportunities

Companies offering internships doesn't come to our college but our TPO (training and placements officer) do sent internship mails on the E-mail group created for college.

College Events

5

TSEC is full of committees and lots of events organised by those committee. There are various committee for different types of events . CSI, IEEE, MS, SPORTS Etc. These committee offers you various technical courses ,projects, fun events and also wifi facility on being a member of committee.

Exam Structure

Two periodic exams before each semester exam and 2 semester exams in each year, so total 6 exams + viva / practical exam of each subject in each year.

Admission

I applied offline in this college in management quota by filling in the form cost 1000 rs/- which I got from the accounts department on 1st floor then I waited for the merit list of management quota which was announced after two-to-three rounds of sindhi quota.

Faculty

4

Some teachers were too good at teaching their subjects and had sound knowledge in field while some were too bad at teaching because they themselves didn't knew the subject they were teaching. Teachers were hardworking and dedicated towards the subject so that no fails in the subject.

Placement Experience:

Students becomes eligible from sem 1 only but package offered is quite low like 5000 per month. Real placement starts from 3rd year from internship. Many tunes internship turns into a full job. Microsoft visited last year and offered 40 lpa. Companies like tcs, tcs ninja, google, infoys, emearson, accenture etc visits every year and offers good salary. Highest pakage was 40 lpa offered by microsoft, average is 5 lpa. For extc highest was 25 lpa offered by tcs. Almost 85 percent people gets placement on campus. Off campus highes package offered was 60lpa.My plan after getting degree is to sit in campus placement and get myself a good job.

Bajaj even has there school of automobile openned in COEP. Highest package is 87 LPAand the average package is 12 LPA. You only need skills to crack the interview percentage does matter in some height the minimum percentage required is 65-70 .
