Remarks
I applied at Sacred Hearts College Tevara and also at Mar Ivanios College Trivandrum but I didn't attend those colleges because my current college was the nearest one to my home place and it was my dream college. I didn't avail any quota for admission. minimum mark was 97% and the minimum age was 16. The admission procedure was good. Teachers introduced themselves and tried to get to know us by interacting with us personally. And I really appreciate that because it was really needed for a newcomer.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I needed great knowledge about commerce subjects so that I can pursue my CA course. There were actually 9 teachers and each year has around 60 students. Most of them qualified for the NET exam and also JRF. Their teaching method is really good. Rather than detailing each and every point about the topic they concentrate on main points. And along with that, they provide us various assignment and seminar so that we can get a deep knowledge. Every one and half months gaps we had two internal exams and then there were final semester exams every 6 months gap. It was so hard. It was a moderate level examination.
Internships Opportunities
YOUNITY company gave us an opportunity for our internship. It provided various tasks related to brand association and all. Along with incentives. They even provided us with dual certificates also. It was a great experience. Getting to know about various persons and communicating with them was really awesome.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Infosys, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank are companies that visited our college. Most of the students get the placement. My plan after completing my degree is to pursue my CA coaching.
Fees and Financial Aid
Aided courses don't have such a fee structure. They only need to pay certain examination fees only. But for self-financing courses, they need to pay around 60000 per semester. There was higher education scholarship based on our 10+2 results. I got that one.
Campus Life
We had Devagiri fest, department fest and all. It was mainly focused on the year ending times. That means mostly during September time. We have a huge library. It contains all those books that will be useful for our studies and a separate bookshelf is there in our department apart from the library. There are sports teams for Football, Volleyball, Cricket and we have NSS, NCC both naval and army.
Hostel Facilities
Bed for each person. There is a separate washroom in every room and there is an electricity and water facility. We have seperate shelves to keep our things and we also have a study table. The meal is not so good but it is healthy. The registration process was simple. We just need to contact the warden and then we need to fill a form. Along with the application fee. That was all.
