Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course to opt for advertising. And yes it is helpful but they make us to practial that often at forst five sems. They don't often teach cameras but they have done two classes like advertising and ai which was helpful.

Placement Experience

3

They offer placements but i clearly don't know abiut that. My employability will be i will go for advertising companies and also i have started my career already my fashion modelling and video presentations and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

At st josephs college devagiri, the fees for ba mass communication and journalism program are divided into different parts. The semester fee is inr 19000 almost or above that over six semesters with totals inr 114000 or above.

Campus Life

3

There are a lot of books available as they have opened a new library. They conduct fests like reve which is media fest. Nirvana, tribe , envi and all which are fests related to each department. They have a dance club cricket club and football club

Admission

I applied only to this and payyannur college. I wanted to pursue advertising so i took this course and also to runaway from my toxic town and home. Eligiblity criteria is 95 percentage and they also have management process. I had 90 percentage so go allotted at last

Faculty

3

Not everybody among the faculty is nice. Some of them are so good and some of them are not and some are partial. My favourite faculty is rohini mam which is my tutor. Premanand sir is also good and our english teacher of 4th sem which i don't clearly remain her name.

Night Life

2

There are 4 cafeterias inside the college. There is no actual nightlife because they shut down fast. Teo hostels are there which one for boys and one for pg girls and teachers inside the college. The locality is safe but they don't allow us to go there

Other Applied Colleges

Payyannur College Payyanur | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

Placement Experience:

The college provides many placement opportunities. The campus placements happens during the sixth semester of the course. The college conducted many placement drives. The college provided classes to enhance interview skills. The college also provided opportunities to prepare Resume, Curriculum Vitae and conducted mock interviews to enhance their confidence level. Most of the students got placed who attended the interviews. I am planning to go for higher studies. I am planning to pursue Masters in English Literature. I am hoping to get admitted to this college itself.

Placement Experience:

There are placements in St thomas, with a placement cell but I have to say it beyond terrible. Especially students from criminology and forensics have zero opportunities in their field. They barely help with higher education or career counseling. It was quite frustrating as they had a negative approach itself to our batch

For me, the positive aspect of my college will be the feasible fee option that is provided to all of the students. Also, there are different types of scholarships and endowments that can be availed by the students who are not able to pay the fees.
