Remarks

Admission to this college is purely on a Merit basis. There are some reservations for some specified caste like ST, OBC etc. After completing plus 2 with an average of 80% in any Stream, An Interview is conducted to know the interest of the student.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen Bcom because of my interest in management, financial services, etc and because of many career opportunities too. The ratio between teachers and students are approximately 1:4, the Faculties in the college are highly qualified and possess good teaching skills, since teachers are friendly the classes are lively to understand. Since it is an Autonomous college the exams are up to date and it is neither easy nor tough.

The college has divided into each department and headed by teachers who handle internship programs and guide students, Students have done internships from leading companies like 'EY'. The many roles provided by the internship programs are sale, product development, Brand Consultant etc.

Placement Experience

The college has placement tie up with leading companies like Wipro, Infosys, Federal Bank, and many more and they possess a good amount Salary, students can take part in the placement process from the 5th semester onwards. I have planned to do my PG after completing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 34000 per year, I think there's no scholarship from the college side but some common scholarships like post metrics scholarships can be claimed from the college. And the management is flexible in helping students in any kind.

Campus Life

The college contains one of the best campus life in the city, 'Nirvana' is one of the great management fest conducted at the National level. The college contains the biggest library in Kozhikode city, we can find any of the books of any journal. The college has the best of sports teams in any event, which is one of the best among Calicut university. We have many clubs like natural clubs, multimedia clubs etc.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

St Joseph's College, Devagiri: The beginning of success and prosperity.

This college was my first choice and I am grateful that I got into it. Our +2 marks is the parameter to get the admission and after that you'll have a short interview as well. Some Devagiri things that you should know before joining.

To get admission students should have 85% of marks. As i have 93.5% i got the seat very easily. I was applied online by myself, I don't remember the application fees. I've availed OBC reservation benefits but I don't know about the details. The frequency of exam is around within every 4-5 months.
