Remarks

I tried to get selected in some IITs or NITs but the score in JEE mains was not sufficient enough to get admitted there. I also filled the form of UPTU and MHTCET and other private universities like CU, VIT, SRMIST, LPU, and secured seats in all above. But as I belong from Bhopal itself my family insited for VIT-B. As my 12th percentage was 83.4% ,I fell in the 1st category in counseling therefore my fee is 195K/yr. similarly, they have criteria for respective 2nd 3rd etc categories and fees depends on them based upon 12th score. The admission criteria for this programme was minimum 60% in PCM in 12th Std. First of all, I had to fill the form for the entrance of VITEEE and appear for it. Then, I got the ranks in the result and accordingly, I was called for the counseling rounds and according to my rank, the day for counseling was alloted (more the rank, later the counseling day is scheduled). Based on availability you get a respective seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always aspired to become a software developer inspired by my elder brother who is an SDE at Royal Dutch Shell, Bangalore. The faculty ratio is close enough to 1:60. I can't say exact stats bcz strength keeps on fluctuating. Majorly all are PhD holders but some are PG qualified too like lab asst. Term exams are regularly held around November for odd sem and march for even sem. And as mostly all engineers are last night players so were we . last night studies would easily help us to get more or less 75% marks in exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

project: clone of ola cabs app using react and GoogleMaps API, portfolio website, burglar alarm system working on lasers and IoT. Several other internships are offered in our university like machine learning and the roles offered are like management which is very helpful in everyone's life. There will be a good chance of getting a good internship in your personal interest.

Placement Experience

4.5

from 7th semester anyone fulfilling the eligibilty for placement drive is eligible for campus placement drives. There are around 200 companies that visit campus regularly and avg package offered is 4.5lakh and the highest till now is 40lakh but that totally depends on person to person. major companies that visit campus are Cognizant, Accenture, Reliance industries, Vodaphone, Zomato, Pinnacle, Shell, Wipro, Adobe, Ultratech cement etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Theirs no hike in fee, the fee is constant throughout programme as taken in 1st year. The total cost inc 4 years course fee and hostel (in my case for 3-sharing non AC ) is close enough to 15lakh ( 8 lakh tution fee+ 6.20lakh hostel fee+ 80k for other expenses). I didn't opt for financial assistance but there was a merit-based scholarship for economically weaker section students. I got an internship in persistent technology and the stipend was 6k/month. I was also a TA at coding ninjas where I cleared doubts and debug problems of students there I got a stipend of 27k for 3 months. I got placed in the Royal Dutch Shell at a package of 11.33lakh inr from campus placement.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

They provide good food and 24 hours unlimited wifi, we have a common area where students play table tennis and badminton, we also have gyms and a barbershop and a night mess where you can order quality food. Registeration for a hostel is done at the beginning of the year when you opt for a hostel facility and there are some formality and paperwork which you have to do at the time of opting for a hostel and it's not any big task the hostel authorities themselves help us in it.

Interview Experience

4.5

The written test consisted of questions based on logical reasoning, general problem solving and all the topics were from 11-12 standard. The difficulty level of the paper was slightly lower than BITSAT. The interview was a cakewalk and it was just a kind of introduction and interaction. There's also a management quota for students who can't secure a seat in the entrance test and the rest of the admission process is the same as I mentioned for all. Basically, the content for the entrance is from the syllabus of 11th and 12th. But, for securing high ranks, quite good preparation is required. Ones preparing for other entrances like JEE could easily score a respectable score in VITEEE. On the internet, I could find the major topics based on whom, majority of the questions were asked in the entrance.

At LNCT students become eligible for engineering placements in the final year. Like after 3rd year, meaningful intenrships are provided and most students get PPO through that. For those fail to do so, our college invites a lot of companies which gives us core placements.

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.
