Remarks

College management is good but has its own problems. If you are in any kind of difficulty you have to contact many people as there are many departments. It should be a little easy on the children is what I feel.

Entrance Preview

Took all the examinations that were available. Maharashtra CET- 160, BITSAT- 270 IIT JEE Advanced- Qualified and got a 20k rank. Couldn't peruse an IIT with such a high rank owing to the scheduled castes. Maharashtra HSC board's score was around 88% Manipal examination- 139 marks/200.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Here this university is pretty good as they provide many opportunities in the research work depending on the subjects you undertake. These should further increase in the 2nd, 3rd year. The course structure is also pretty organized allowing students of different courses to get a touch of other courses also.

Internships Opportunities

I think they provide internships. I am not really sure about the stipend and inner details. I have no idea what companies come for the internships and how much the pay is. But I am sure knowing the reputation of the college, some decent big names might only be coming for internships also.

Placement Experience

3

Job opportunities are great. Many big as well small companies come. Some take 100s of children at reasonable pay while companies like amazon take the few extraordinary students with high pay. I think around 4-5 lakh is the normal average package provided by companies that take many students at once. The higher packages are in the range of 15-20 lakhs annually where many excellent students get an opportunity in a big company. New companies are trying to come in.

College Events

2.5

There are two big events. One is the technological fest called the gravitas that goes on for 3 days and takes place in mid-September. Children from other universities also come and take part. There are many events for the first years to take part in. They can gain knowledge of any technology-related field in this fest. The other fest is the cultural fest that takes place in early Feb which is the Riviera. This fest is the college's biggest event. Haven't been a part of it so I know little.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It might just be on the expensive side for the middle-class people whose children have got a little higher rank and hence a bad category. To pay that much amount of money in lakhs is a little expensive. The main problem is that the people who are in the same field have to pay different fees each year depending on their rank and category despite the fact that they have the same importance in the first year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being in the first year I have less idea about this. I don't know much about the loan facilities. But I think they provide many scholarships to the children to go abroad. I myself am in the ITP program wherein I might get to do a 2+2 year course and study for 2 years abroad.

Campus Life

4

There is a problem with the gender ratio depending on the fields. Fields like mechanical have a 50:1 ratio at times. Student parties inside the campus are very less heard of. Didn't even get a good freshers party. There is a lot of discrimination between girls and boys in many things. They are not allowed to go out of the campus that easily. Extracurricular activities are good if you are capable enough to take part in them.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms for 2 people are the ones in which I'm staying. It is a little on the smaller side for two people hardly having 16-17 tiles. There is hardly any electricity problem. Any other problem is also generally taken care of. Mess food is okay. Normal dal chawal is something you can eat. The occasional paneer makes me happy. Breakfast is nice.

Alumni/Alumna

Students from the higher years are very helpful. They guide you and make your stay a little easier. Haven't had any conversation with the alumni as of now. Seniors are generally ready to help in any difficulties we get.

Exam Structure

Labs happen once a week except for the CS lab which takes place thrice a week. It is not that hectic. There are three exams in a semester. The two CATs and then the FAT which is a 100 mark paper at the end of the semester. This exam structure gives us enough time to study. There are some compulsory digital assignments that we have to upload which is a part of the curriculum and this also carries important marks.

Admission

In the admission process, the students are called according to their ranks day-wise. Then there are categories for each course going till 5 categories with each having a different price range, increasing of course. As per the rank, you get your course if seats in the categories are left.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty is okay. Some are interested, others don't care. Many have come for their research and they, therefore, teach the class with less interest as it is just a compulsory thing for them. The faculty selection will be available to us in the next semester. Then we can choose some better professors. Some teachers are a bit on the arrogant side who are not interested in helping you while the others are decent. Overall it is not that bad but should improve.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career.
