Remarks
Jammu University is the most reputed university in the state and also it's affordable that's what I opted for JU. No, I didn't avail any quota. The criteria for admission is very simple. You should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks. The admission process was not that complex. You have to apply online and fill the admission form and after that, they call you for GD and PI. Here the first preference is given to students who scored well in CAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't want further do my Master's in Science that's why I opted for MBA and also the corporate world really used to excite me that's why I did MBA. Our faculty is no doubt one of the best faculty in the entire JU. They know their job really well and have good teaching experience. Every sem you have to give two exams mid sem test and the final test.
Internships Opportunities
So ITC came to our campus and after a couple of rounds of GD and PI, they selected only 7-8 students. The stipend was Rs 10000. They alloted us some markets and we have to generate leads in those markets and sell our ITC products.
Placement Experience
Well overall the placement is not that great, they can do better. But if you ask me, I did my internship at ITC and they really got impressed with my performance during the internship, so they offered me a pre-placement offer which I accepted and now m working in ITC for the past 1 year.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I said Jammu University is one of the most affordable universities in entire north India, so the students belonging from the lower middle class to the middle class can apply for it with no second thought. I didn't avail of any scholarships and but there must be some sort of reservations that you can apply for. I did my internship under ITC and then got PPO in ITC.
Campus Life
The 2 years that I spent on the campus is one of the best years of my life. All the professors were so kind and understanding. Our department is the only department in the whole university that has AC installed in the classroom. We have a library within the department. There is also another library in JU Dhanwantri. In every time interval, there used to be some completions related to sports and studies. ABVP is the social group that is run by the students for the students.
Interview Experience
I clearly remember there were approximately 50-60 students who appeared for GD and PI ROUND. But only a few qualified both rounds. My GD went really well and so is the PI. The interviewer was not so harsh on me and asked some basic questions related to my graduation, why I wanted to do MBA etc.
