Remarks

I applied for only 2 colleges i.e. Shri Mata Vaisho Devi University and TBS, Jammu. The reason for selecting TBS was the feasible location and the opportunities provided by the department. The criteria for admission was ro secure over 60% marks in graduation and the minimum percentage of CAT/MAT was determined by the department. The candidate needed to have a clear record in previous course without any outstanding backlog. The admission process was easy. Once we provided the department with iur details and submitted the necessary documentation for preliminary consideration, we were called in to have an organized GD/PI based on which the department gave it's final verdict regarding the selection of a candidate.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reson to choose this course was to get an overview of the prevailing opportunities and changes in the business world and to explore the prospective opportunities. The faculty:student ratio is quiet good. Given the vast number of options available to pursue as major and minor subjects, the professors accompanied by their scholars are able to provide easy individual attention to students. All the teachers have a doctorate in their respective fields and some of them even have an international educational experience. The term exams were always on time and they were moderately difficult but not something that can not be solved with a bit of logic and a general understanding of the topics.

Internships Opportunities

4

The department provides a lot of internship opportunities with companies like airtel, Jio, NABARD, RBI, Byju's, Zomato, Sharekhan etc. The roles offerd are of HR/Marketing analysts, Sales professionals, Security analysts, Financial advisors, etc. Stipend depends on the company. It can range between 5,000-15,000 per month. The projects assigned are usually in line with the job position. The projects generally involve a research aspect and helps both the student and the company to grow in a better way.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for placement from the 3rd sem. Usually, banking companies and edtech companies take on a slew of students as their employees. Other companies like telecom and financial advisors also ahow a keen interest in placement process. The placement percentage is around 65%. I am planning on getting international education as soon as my final semester's result is out.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike policy and the cost of study are justified as the fee is way less than any other business school of the same stature supplemented with the fact that the department provides the students with all the necessary books and material free of coat that usually cost around 10,000-12,000 per semester.

Campus Life

3.5

The University conducts a fest known as Youtharva every year and a display your talent contest every year as well. The library is one of the biggest in the state of J&K and is equipped with each and every type of content that one might need and has state of the art tech as well. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a pc and projector for presentations and to supplement teaching process. The students generally bring their own laptops to make it convenient for themselves. Annual sports competitions are also a very eagerly anticipated event.

Interview Experience

4.5

My GD was based on real life problem of how development ignores the needs of nature. The proctors were diligent enough to analyze the responses thoroughly. The interview was based on the general understanding of the subjects and topics that lay down the foundation of the course of MBA. I prepared myself by practicing on my general discussion skills and took an overview of the courses I had coverd during my Hons. program. Needless to say I got a perfect score in the GD/PI
