Remarks

The admission was based on merit - MHCET and HSC scores, through the centralized online procedure and CAP rounds. There were 3 rounds and we got admitted to colleges based on the preference list that we provided during the registration. The list included the colleges, as well as the field that we would like to choose.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is decided by Mumbai University. Exams were held every 6 months. There were 5 - 6 subjects every semester. The difficulty level of the subjects would be from moderate to hard. There are experienced and technically sound faculty who helped us in every stage - be it theory, practical or projects.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 124000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible to sit for placements in their final year, or from the seventh semester. Various software and Core electronics companies visit the campus, like Selec Control, LTI, Carwale, Capgemini etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee varies for different categories of students. Reserved category and TFWS students get tuition fee waived. For those students who do not fall into reserved category or are TFWS students, there are various scholarships by the state and Central government about which the staff provides proper guidance and help. There are various companies that visit the campus and eligible students get an opportunity to try out for jobs.

There are various clubs in the campus like Agnel social cell which conducts activities like Ashram/Orphanage visits, Magazine and e-newsletter committees, student council that looks into the two college fests, as well as various department-level committees, like SEED that looks into sustainable development, IETE-ETSA etc.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
