Remarks

The admission criteria were based on mhcet and jee mains scores. The admission process was smooth and everything was made clear to us. In addition to exam score based I could also avail a minority quota for Christians.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electrical engineering as it's in demand. Many faculties have done multiple PhDs. Though the college is strict it inculcates discipline in the student. The term exams were completed on time even the syllabus would finish 1 month prior as compared to other colleges. In that extra month, we would have prelims which was an extra effort from the college.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 134000 per year

Placement Experience

From semester 7 the students are eligible for sitting in placements. Infosys, Tcs, prime metals, burns and McDonnell, torrent, Capgemini are some of the companies that came to our college. 50% of the students are placed and many even go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studies is 1.5 lakhs per year. You can avail of various scholarships one of which is scholarship based on a branch-wise merit list for that year. I got placed in Burns and McDonnell, India and am really thankful for it.

Campus Life

There are 2 fests, each of 3days conducted in the college. The 1st is FACES which is held in Aug/Sept, and the 2nd is ETAMAX held in Feb/March. There is a library which is available to all the students, a digital library is also present. The classrooms of the new building are well lit and have a projector. The college has its own football team. There are various clubs based on branches as well as clubs related to art like the drama club and the music club. There are 2 magazine clubs as well.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
