Remarks

I had only applied to this college. I am not sure, but I think the cutoff mark of MHCET was 100. The admission process was smooth. The college administration department will help whenever any documents are required. The orientation was also held. Such meetings are usually held twice a year.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Electronics and Telecommunications as I wanted a program which will introduce to me the hardware and also software. I think both have a great future and a lot of job opportunities. The faculty and lab incharge are great, always ready to help. We have 4 professors who have completed their PhD and all rest have completed their MTech. The term exams are a bit tough if compared to other colleges in Mumbai University.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 136000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I applied for an internship at BARC. There are a few internships with stipends offered, but less. There are course projects which have to be done for each practical subject we have. There are project competition arranged. Then we have a fianl year project during our 4th year.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible from 7th semester. We have placement training from 5th semester to help with the placement. Lots of companies have made an offer like TCS, LNT, Godrej, Infosys, etc. At least 85% of the people who are eligible to sit for placements do get a job offer. I will be going abroad for my Masters degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no fees hike during my 4-year term. We do get to work under professor's on projects, but there are no stipends. There are scholarship provided by the institution separately, but there are a few provided by the Mumbai University.

Campus Life

All Books and journals are available in the library. We have a projector in all the classrooms, so a lot of explanation is done through ppts. The desk are of good quality. There are lots of computers, oscillators, CROs, microwave kits, communication kits etc. We have two features, one is Intra college and the other in intercollege. They have sports and cultural activities with seminars and technical workshops. There are lots of clubs like the AI and Deep learning, ETSA, SEED, NSA, Drama, Music etc

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
