Remarks

Admission is based on the score of CET or JEE Mains or via Management quota. The admission office helps out at each step for the smooth enrollment of students. The teaching quality is outstanding. A library facility is also provided which has almost all the reference books and textbooks.

Course Curriculum Overview

Each and everything is covered in the lectures before the term ends. The professors even conduct class tests that focus on each module before unit tests. Prelims are conducted before the final exam which is super-helpful. Every department has many Ph.D. holders as professors due to which the quality of education here is exemplary.

Eligibility criteria change from company to company but most companies start their hiring process when students are in their 7th sem. College provides placement training so that people do well in aptitude and depending on students request technical courses are also arranged. The placement team always alerts the students about the companies in advance so that they are well prepared. Many colleagues of mine have been placed in TCS, Burns and MCD, Godrej, Torrent Power, Cognizant, etc. I opted out of placement as I had plans for my Master-abroad and the professors helped me by providing remarkable Recommendation letters which helped me secure admission is one of the best universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee hike is pretty nominal from the start of the term. They also provide installment facilities that help students in need. There are some scholarships to the toppers of class. The fee reduces drastically if you have a quota.

Campus Life

FACES (Technical and sports fest) is conducted somewhere in Sept - October and ETAMAX (annual fest) are conducted in Jan -Feb. The library has most of the reference books and journals which help us in the curriculum. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors with which lectures are conducted. Also, teachers are pretty focused on students, and writing notes is mandatory for most classes. There are many student associations that are either branch-specific (EESA & MESA)or includes multiple branch students (IEEE, NSS, etc ).

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
