Admission is based on MH-CET and JEE scores. Cut off percentile for IT in the year 2019 was around 96 percentile for MH-CET. Cut offs for Computer and IT branches are higher as compared to other branches. Some management seats require some specific donation amount, similar to other colleges (Institute level seats). The overall admission process is very transparent and easy to follow. I selected this college because of its well planned teaching procedures and helping faculty. The orientation on the first day included the campus tour and, explanation of rules and regulations to be followed in the college.

I selected this course because of my interest in this field and the growing need for automation in today's world. FCRIT has one of the best teaching highly qualified faculty. The faculty is very helpful and guides us in every aspect. There are guides assigned to each group for helping them with difficulties in projects and other stuff. The faculty ensures that every student understands the concept taught in the lecture. There are revision sessions scheduled regularly in which students can get their doubts cleared. Teachers encourage us to participate in competitions, coding contests, and technical paper writing as well, thereby giving us opportunities to improve our resumes. We have Assignment tests, Internal assessments(IA) and Preliminary exams. The assignment tests and IA exams are easy to pass provided you are thorough with the concepts and helps in preparation for the end semester exam.

The cost of the study is between 1L to 1.4L similar to other engineering colleges in Mumbai. Right now for the IT branch (Open category), it is 1.3L per anum. Fees can be paid in instalments. A 50% refund on tuition fees is given to students who are eligible for EBC.

There are two fests organized viz, Etamax and Faces. Etamax is a techno-cultural fest which is organized in January/February (even semester), in which there are technical workshops, along with other competitions. Students from other colleges can also participate in certain competitions of Etamax. Faces is a cultural fest in which departments compete with each other. It is organized in September/October (odd semester). There is one departmental fest (CSI technovation for IT) that is specific to a particular department in which course related workshops and activities and organized. Students can participate in various clubs like ARC(Robotics club), Cybersecurity club, Coder's club, and many more. Computer and IT students can also be a part of the CSI committee. Football turf, basketball court, swimming pool, badminton court are available in the college. The overall infrastructure is very good and well maintained.
