Remarks

We had the first online counselling in 2014, in which we are supposed to select multiple colleges based on our priorities. In the 3successive rounds, the seats will be allotted based on the rank, any category (if applicable) and priorities. I applied for almost more than 10 colleges in that top 5 are UVCE, RVCE, MRIT, RMIT and KMVIT. Based on my ranking in the mock and 1st round, I was allotted Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology which was the 9th priority I waited till the third round in which I was allotted to Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering(DSCE) which was my 8th priority. When it comes to admission in the second round I was allotted for DSCE and I paid a sum of 36090 to reserve the seat and also participate for 3rd round hoping to get till the higher one in my priority, but in 3rd round also I got the same DSCE college hence I paid the rest amount to the college directly on the day of the admission process. The process is easy but takes a lot of time and have to roam around the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have opted for E&C but I got TC which are almost the same except for the final year. The strength of the class was 60, it was pretty much good compared to other departments where it was around 80-100 per class. Lecturers are highly qualified and friendly. Department Head is a bit strict when it comes to attendance and students behaviour which is good but sometimes as students, we found it irritating, but thanks to the facilities that we didn't lag in our academics. HOD has the least in other curriculum activities as I noticed. The teaching method of more than half of the faculty was good and very few lecturer's teaching was a bit boring. Our college was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University so the semester exams were according to the university schedule. Exam terms used to last for 30 to 40 days for each semester along we had 3 monthly internals. The exam's difficulty rate is moderate.

Placement Experience

3

The placement was provided for almost all the branches but the highest opportunity was for CS, IS department. Students can attend the placements from the 6th semester for a few of the companies but from the 7th semester for almost all the companies. I think we had more than 200 companies in our college for placements and the companies we got for TC Department is around 30 companies. As far as I know, the maximum package was 21lakh for CS students that too only 1 or no candidate will be selected (it's rare) for telecommunication engineering branch our maximum package was 7lakhs p.a. The average package is 3.5-4 lakhs p.a. I got placed in one of the telecom based companies so I joined the company just in 15 days of completion of my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees were almost consistent throughout the long 4 years of graduation in fact had a decrement of Rs.1000/- in each year. The hostel fees were too much with the least facilities. I would say that hostel has the worst management. From govt of Karnataka, there was a scholarship for Karnataka students up to Rs.18,000/- per year in the 2nd, 3rd & 4th years. I have not encountered any job inside the campus.

Campus Life

4

The campus environment is very good, refreshing and lively. Each department has the privilege to conduct their own branch fest every year it was solely dependent on brach. Alongside we had the college fest by name 'Vibrations' which was co-ordinated by the Cultural department along with all engineering branches of the college. I would say that we had one of the best libraries with an abundance of books and study rooms. Classroom amenities are just normal and are good. We had a sports department but in our department, we had less exposure to sports we never used to get any updates we have to go to the sports department to get any updates. I heard of only 1 annual sport meet inside the campus but with less publicity and less partition.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I stayed in the hostel for 1st year but the facilities were not good compared to the fees. I would say it has the worst management whether it's rooms, amenities, facilities or the food department. I stayed in the outside hostel for the remaining 3 years it was pretty much nearby and affordable and had nice facilities for the same amount which was paid in college hostels and had a lot of freedom compared to college hostels.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches .
