Remarks

I applied from CET and got admitted in Electrical, process is quite simple just get good marks so you clear the cutoff. Now the system is in percentile so I don't have any idea about it. Counselling and form fill will be done in college once approved.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is remembered and reproduce college has nothing to do with it. It's the university which has pathetic courses but now they are improving by adding more practical subjects rather than theory. The faculty is one of the best in at least the Electrical Department.

Placement Experience

There is an infinite number of IT companies that visit the college. Core companies are less but they are one of the best in their field.The highest package for the core will be around 6-8 LPA. Placement cell takes very less initiative in bringing new companies to the campus placement. But the training provided is good. Also, there will be very tricky rules as to how to limit a good student from getting placed in more than 1 tier one company. There is no choice given to sit for another company if you are already placed with a core company with the average package

Fees and Financial Aid

If you can apply EWS Seat then the whole tuition fees are reimbursed by the government and you just need to pay around 15K per year which is quite affordable. Also, scholarships from IEI is also given to academic top scorer.

Campus Life

There are two fests which are organized by the student council. Also, there are many departmental clubs like EESA, IEEE, ASC, and many more. All the books are available in the library but are limited. Amenities are very good but students won't get time to use them. And don't expect any campus life during your regular hours

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
