FCRIT review

I had applied for VJTI, KJ Somaiya, and FCRIT Vashi. I had scored 136 in CET so I was eligible for FCRIT college, IT branch. I took admission to FCRIT because this is a good college. They provide good education and placement opportunities as well. I did not avail myself of any quota. I took admission through CET marks.

I took admission into Information Technology because I was interested in coding. The college provided great learning opportunities in coding. The faculties are adept in their domains and help out every student. There were around 70 students in class. The teachers would use presentations to teach and would provide additional notes and refer to several books to learn more. The notes and presentations were beneficial. They had covered all the topics and studying from those were enough to score well in exams.

The college provides various internship opportunities. The internship can be for various domains and we get it through interviews and other rounds if any. We can apply to any company that we would like to work for. I was in the IT branch so the different roles I looked into were Software Development Trainee, Full Stack Developer, and more. Stipends are provided based on the company. We are also allowed to apply from outside for any company and any position we would like to work for.

The college provides great placement opportunities. From semester 7, we are eligible to sit for campus placements. Various companies come for hiring with different packages ranging from 3-7.5 LPA. Placement training is provided beforehand and it helps us in the placement procedure. The average package would be around 3.5 lakhs and the highest can be 7.5 lakhs. Around 70 percent of eligible students are placed in a company. Some even opt for higher studies.

The fee for my course was Rs. 1,36,454. The fees almost remained the same. The infrastructure of the college is also good. For practical sessions, separate labs for each subject are provided with proper amenities. The college provided good placement opportunities and placement training to get into good companies.

We have two fests in an academic year. One on each semester. the tech fests and annual fests are really fun. There are a lot of events at the fests and each event is enjoyable. The library has all the necessary and sufficient number of books. It can be easily issued. The classrooms have projectors and presentations are used for teaching in classrooms. Sports and their respective courts are also provided in college. There are various clubs run by students which provide additional skills and growth required by the students.
