FCRIT College Review

For enrolling in this college the criteria are under Directives of DTE. The cutoff differs every year but you have to be 85%+ to enrol in this college. The procedure was quite simple. We have to fill Option Form then wait for allotment. After the confirmation, we have to visit the college for completing the process. I got into this college from the open category. The counselling session was very informative, even though you are new, you will get not know the rules and regulations of college on the first day itself. Everything was well organized.

I was into technology from childhood, and IT is one of the field forms which you can become a Software engineer or any other Technology expert. Also, IT is the future. The faculty: student ratio is 1:60, but they ensure that everyone is clear about the topic. Almost every faculty in our college are ME/MTECH and PhD pursuing. Currently, the education system is online due to pandemics but then too there is no degradation of teaching. After every course quiz is conducted so that how much a student understood the topic can be known. Also, revision classes are there if someone couldn't understand the topic. About the exams, we have basically Assignments Test, Internal Assessment Tests and Prelims to make us prepare for finals. We have enough writing practice due to all exams. The difficulties of the exams are quite hard but you'll score good marks.

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research offers internships to eligible students. They provide training and expect us to give weekly reports and assignments and also many other internship opportunities are there. TIFR gives a project which can be used as the final year project for the eligible students.

From the 7th sem onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, LTI, Godrej, L&T, Jacobs, etc. visit our college and some of them take individual intake and some take bulk intake. The highest package was 7-8L per annum and the average is 4-5L per annum. 70% of students get placed generally. As for me, I'll opt for Higher Studies.

The cost of the study is average as per the Engineering colleges which lies around 1L to 1.5L. Our fee was 1.37L for one year. For the scholarships you can apply for EBC, as the college doesn't support EBC directly, you have to pay full fees and later on you'll get a 50% refund on tuition fees if you are eligible for EBC. On the request, you can pay the fees in instalments.

ETAMAX is a state level event conducted by our college annually in Feb and many other fests conducted by different depts. All the required books and materials are available in the library. Also, we have access to the National Library. Sports week is also there and different events in fests. As for the extracurricular activities, we have hackathons and small fests. For the social groups, we have clubs in different fields like Cyber Security, Robotics Club, Sports Club, Marathi Mandal, etc.
