In order to get admission into this medical college, one has to pass NEET Exam, which is an All India entrance exam for admission into MBBS & BDS course. All who pass the exam, on the basis of All India Rank based on marks obtained student get the respective ranking colleges in State. Generally Unreserved Candidates have to score 500+ to get admission into this college & Reserved category students have to score minimum 400 for the same. They should be at least of 18 years of age. After that, student can opt 4-5 colleges of his choice during the counselling process. Thereafter the student is alloted a particular college among those opted colleges online. On the mentioned date of admission, student has to bring all the necessary documents for verification & further processing of admission to the college. They are to comply with 2 bonds, one is of course completion bond & other is of anti ragging bond duly signed by them & their guardian. They have to deposit then the admission fee.

All the professors are highly qualified & experienced with excellent teaching quality. The institution is more than 100 years old with renowned alumni. They are always helpful & available for the students. Faculty: Student Ratio is approximately 1:10. Exams are held at regular intervals in the form of Internal semesters. Question Papers of Semesters are set quite at per standard level. Professional exams are held every year for each batch. The students get well versed in the field as a result of it.

During the internship, students are posted in different wards with the opportunity to learn many challenging cases every day. Students are paid handful stipend during Internship year. After the completion of this course, students from this college easily get placements in Central Government Medical Service as well as into State Government Medical Service. Fees structure is more or less constant being a government college, there is no fees hike as such. Although students have to bear Books & othe accessories cost themselves, they are provided financial assistance in the form of Scholarship on the basis of their merit every year. Various scholarships are available accordingly both governmental & private. Moreover, during Internship, students are paid quite a good amount for bearing their own expenses. Housestaff job are also available after passing this course.

The Grand Annual Fest of this college is known by the name of "ECSTASY". This fest is much popular in the state, & students from other medical Collegs also participate. It's a 4 day event held in the month of September every year. Students remain excited for this grand fest. Different Sports & extra curricular events are held with many exciting prizes. For Freshers also, Freshers Party is held every year separately. Apart from this 2 events, round the year Several Musical Competitions, Medical Quizzes, Crime scene investigation Games are held. This college has a large lecture theatre hall, auditorium, Central Library with more than 30 computers for availability of online resources to the medical students, adequate number of labs for practical demonstration, huge playground for intercollege sports & games.
