P R Pote College of Engineering and Management, Amravati.

I have applied for three colleges i.e. Government College of Engineering Amravati, P. R. Meghe Institute of Technology and Research Amravati, and P R Pote College of Engineering and Technology Amravati. I got selected in P R Pote College of Engineering and Technology and I have availed OBC quota for admission. The criteria for this program is on cut-off basis and there is no age limit. The admission process is very easy, once you go to the office section the councilors will explain you everything in detail.

I choose this course because I have had an interest in Mechanical Engineering since my childhood and the college is also good for the same course. The faculty and teachers are available anytime for the students and there are many teachers to help students with academics as well as other problems. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders and are well qualified. The teachers use both traditional and modern methods of teaching which include teaching on a whiteboard with a marker as well as with the help of a projector i.e. by the digital method. The exams are taken on time according to the academic calendar and the difficulty level is moderate to pass the exam.

Students can do internships with many companies as the college is active for internships both paid and free and there are a lot of chances for students after completing the internship. Students can get a permanent job in the companies after the internship if they are selected and get a good package by the company.

The students are eligible for the campus placements from the Sixth or Seventh semester of their respective courses. Many companies including TATA Consultancy Services, Infosys, Collabera, L&T Infotech, Wipro, HCL visit our college for recruitment and they give very good offers to freshers. The highest package offered was of 7 LPA and the average package is about 3.2 LPA. Around 40 to 60 percent of students gets placed in the campus selection and I am also trying to be placed in one of those companies after completing my degree.

The fees structure is simple. For the course that I opted for, the annual fees is around 72 thousand and as I am availing OBC quota the fees for me is about 42 thousand with the help of the Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students by the Government of India. We can either pay the full fees one time or we can also pay the fees in installments.

The annual program called 'Techleons' is held every year in the month of January or February college which includes tech fests and many more programs such as dance, singing, technical events, and many more. Also, there are plenty of books available in the library for all courses available in the college and students can borrow the books for free from the library to study for 15 days. The classrooms are equipped with all the facilities such as Lights, Fans, Projector, speakers, and WiFi. On the Annual festival, one day is reserved for sports day which includes sports like Kabbadi etc.
