Remarks
I was digging into the opportunity available out there when I came to know about something called industrial engineering. On further research I found it very exciting to pursue as a career. Since I was a IIT graduate, I didn't need to go for gate examination for admission and just form filling and interview was the criteria. Fortunately I cleared the interview and admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview
About course curriculum, the department offers vast variety of courses including courses in Operation and analytics which is department specialization, courses in supply chain, ML, Finance etc. Faculties is well qualified, mostly from IIMs.
Placement Experience
Opportunities are huge. A large number of companies visit the campus. One can go through student and placement office website of IIT Kanpur to get more insights on that. Companies from diverse fields come and look for brightest student of the institute.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For Mtech course there is Teaching Assistance allowance available to all students throughout 2 years of course. Jobs are obtained through campus placement drive and few times, through own efforts as well.
Campus Life
Various clubs and societies available inside the campus. Though we are not able to reach there till end of our first year due to Covid restrictions but opportunities availed online are enormous. I don't know I hope campus life would be awesome
Hostel Facilities
Rent is very minimal. Though we are not been accomodated till now due to Covid situations but as heard apart from seperate mess for each hostel there is canteen facilities available too. Indoor game facility also available in each hostel
Admission
Graduation from IIT with GPI greater then 8
