My college has been accreditated with Grade 'A' by NAAC, ranked 54 for MBA by Times Of India, 102 by India Today in the year 2019 and is approved by UGC and COA.Moreover, the placement record has been good since its establishment and the top recruiters across the country visit the campus and offer job. Also, since the program fee is 5 lakhs for two years, it is too low as compared to other many colleges in the city. So, these were the main reasons because of which I enrolled myself here for MBA program.To get into this college, I registered myself first then I filled the application form using login credentials and lastly paid the application fee of Rs. 1000/- in online mode merely. Post which based on my CAT score,I got shortlisted and was called for selection procedure round. When I cleared the Personal Interview and GD rounds, I received offer letter and finally took admission into this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of MBA program is well designed and it is reviewed from time to time and when needed, it is modified as per the requirements of the industry.The curriculum is designed in a way that we get a lot of opportunities for global exposure, several learning workshops are conducted for both us and the faculty members. Further, the summer internship program, projects, and industry visit are integral part of the curriculum. Most importantly, the unique teaching methodology is used to impart conceptual knowledge along with the enhancement of other required skills. And our faculties through group discussions, case studies help us in recognising the business problems and solutions to it. Also, they provide pre placement training so that we can easily get placed in top organisation with good package.
Placement Experience
Around 80% students from our senior batch got job through on-campus placement and rest 20% went for off-campus placement. Moreover, the number of recruiters that visited our campus were more than 75 in number. So, the top employers that showed their participation in placement drive were HCL Technologies, Muthoot Finance, City Union Bank, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Zoho Corp, and many others. Further, the highest package bagged previous year was 18 LPA. On the other hand, the average package witnessed was 4 LPA. Above all, it is important to that that the placement process at my college involves steps like completion of placement registration firstly. Then, pre-placement training is given in which preparation to clead GD, Extempore, case study analysis, and personal interview rounds are fortified.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For MBA program, in the first year I paid 2.5 lakhs as a tuition and admission fee. Including fees of both the years, I paid 5 lakhs in total. However, expenses of food and hostel is not included in this fee and I paid extra amount for that.Since, the fee is little bit high for those whose annual family income is low. So, our college also has scholarships provision for SC/ST category candidates of Tamil Nadu whose annual family income should be less than 1 lakh. Besides, merit-cum-means scholarship is available for the meritorious students belonging to weaker section especially to the localities from nearby village i.e. Padur and wards of HITS employees. Also, those who score good marks in 10+2 from Puzhuthivakkam and Thiruporur. Furthermore, there are sports scholarships, Dr. K.C.G Verghese Foundation Scholarship and others too for the students of HITS. However, I couldn't get any benefit of scholarship.
Campus Life
My campus life at HITS has been amazing since the day I enrolled myself into this college. The facilities that are given to us include library, campus clinic, transportation, housing & dining, seminar halls, banking/ ATM facilities. Apart from the facilities provided in the campus, there are too many events that take place are HITS jumps, USHJA events, Showhorse TV, HITS on the Hudson, Equifest, Manchester & the mountains, Cavalier Classic, and many more. Further, we are encouraged to enroll in any of the clubs among yoga, music, dance, drama, photography club, cultural association and others in order to enhance our hidden talents. Also, other activities like group discussion, quiz competition, seminars, conference are conducted and due to all these, my life at this campus is just amazing.
