IIT Hyderabad A-Z review

I wanted to get into IIT Madras, but since it is purely based on the JEE advanced results, I couldn't get a better branch and IIT at the same time. I prioritized branch over college, and as I was deeply interested in physics, opted for this course in IITH. There is no other way for IITs than writing JEE Mains and Advanced. My backup option for CS in VIT Vellore/Chennai, or NIT Trichy, but i preferred IIT over the other colleges....Read More

I did get admission in some famous colleges like VIT and BITS .But I chose this college because of the prestige and value it hold in today's society. Once we get selected for this college after JOSAA rounds. College had better ranking and facilities. Admission procedures were very easy and paper free. Admission was through JAM cut off and an interview. Previous admission was for MSc Physics. Medical Physics found more interesting....Read More

I chose this college because it has got an absolutely great NIRF Ranking 8. Moreover, this is a government college, so it has comparatively lesser fees. I could not get into much better-ranked colleges due to my JEE Advanced Rank. But, this college has all the facilities that I longed for. The admission rounds for IITs happen through JoSAA, which goes on for almost 2 months. Sometimes, the process may be a bit hectic because of its unpredictable nature. I chose IIT Hyderabad as it is the best 2nd gen IIT in terms of infrastructure, NIRF ranking and placements. It is even better than IIT Roorkee or Guwahati in terms of infra and equal in placements. The cutoff for the college goes around 9-10k in JEE Advanced for GEN category....Read More

You have to clear the JEE ADVANCED examination with flying colours to get the chance of getting admitted to IIT Hyderabad , for civil engg the cutoff is around 7-8k. After clear JEE ADV you have to apply for JOSAA counselling, IIT Hyderabad takes admission through JOSAA counselling. If you get IIT Hyderabad in the JOSAA rounds, you have to then apply in the IIT Hyd admissions form and pay fees in that site. I haven't availed any reservation benifits. Well, there are many surprise class tests and tests once in every week, and major semester tests happen once in every 6 months. The tests are challenging bur fair.
