Course Curriculum Overview

The qualification of the faculty is at standard level & teaching method is also somewhat different than my previous college CAET GODHRA, AAU. It was nit difficult to pass exam because there was a relative markings.

Internships Opportunities

Actually I'm in master of Technology program so I'm not eligible for Internship because it's for B. Tech students only. We need to do research work in last year of our program.

Placement Experience

From last year of any program students are eligible to seating in placements. There are number of company visited. Most of them are software related or finance sector related which is called non core sector (70%). And rest of the companies are for core engineering sector. Highest package around 1 cr and lowest is 5 lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes, through GATE exam we got monthly stiffened of 12,400 INR. And fee is around 35000 inr per semester including lodging and mess fee. The fees of previous two sem less due to this pandemic situation.

Campus Life

Yes, it was really enjoyable. I spent only one year in campus but this time was unforgettable throughout my life. I'm a sports enthusiasts amd i also represented IIT kharagpur in 54th inter IIT sports meet in volleyball game. The student activity centre called gymkhana is very famous for all the activities.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I alloted lal bahadur shasrti hall of residence, which is combined for btech and mtech students and one of the largest hall of residence in campus by population. The room was triple sharing. And all the facilities are there for all hall of residence.

IIT KGP: The kgpian way

Placement Experience:

4 yr btech students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of their 3rd yr(5th sem) and for placement 7th sem. 5 yr dual degree students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of 4th yr(7th sem) and for placement 9th sem. So many different profile companies came for placements like amazon, google, ibm, apple, l&t, wipro, infosys, texas intrument, etc. Highest package was 3cr and average is about 20-25 lakhs. Placement Experience:

Eligibility depends on the companies requirements. Usually in the final year you start preparing for interviews. Our placement cell was very active and it tried its best. TCS, Berger, PWC etc etc visited our campus. The packages are not known to me very surely, so would avoid quoting one, but take ballpark around 5lacs, which is pretty impressive considering the job market for non-engineering freshers. Majority of the students are inclined towards higher studies and government jobs, and the cell arranges for their preparation as well, and quite reputed ones. RKM is known to have a strong history of students getting top government jobs. Those who wished to have job, not all, but many have got offers. Although still I would say there is room for improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA.LL.B is a professional degree course. The course is actually consist of two degrees, BA and LLB. The syllabus completes a vast field of various statutes. There are various applications of the statutes in professional world. The curriculum makes forge a student into a proficient lawyer. But every coin has two sides. The syllabus covers a lot but the authority doesn't update the syllabus thus it losses it's relevancy in different places. The legal system is changing frequently to maintain it's relevancy but the syllabus doesn't update at all. There are many topics which are not so much relevant in the daily situation. Yes, it is obviously necessary to gather knowledge from depth but it becomes quite useless in the real life sceneries. The Evidence act, Interpretation of statutes, Jurisprudence are the hardest part of the course in my opinion. Some topics are quiet difficult than others but not as hard as the mentioned topics.
