Remarks
After doing my 12th with 68% in CBSE, I was looking for colleges to persue BBA. One of my cousins was doing BBA from Sikkim Manipal University in Magitar and asked me to search about it online. I was impressed with the curriculum, the infrastructure and one of my cousin already studying there ended me up filling the online form worth Rs.1000 admission. I appeared for CAT exam in which I score 98. Along with application, I deposited my marksheets and other bank details. After few days I got a call for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a 3 year course during which I was taught about business economics, Marketing, Business law and also introduction to sociology. My curriculum consisted of assignments that were added in my external exam. The faculty student?Ûªs ratio was 1:15, so it was convenient for me to ask and clear my doubts. The professors were experienced and had lot of knowledge in this field.
Internships Opportunities
I was allowed to do internship from the first year. I did my paid summer internship in a renowned MNC's finance department. It really proved to be helpful to build-up my confidence and polished my professional skills. I made lot of new contacts and gained practical knowledge.
Placement Experience
It has a well-established Training and Placement Cell that aims to provide 100% placement. Various reputed companies visited the campus to participate in its on-campus placements. Some of the top companies were JustDial, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, TCS, ACC Cement, Sony, IXIA, Electrolab, GK Infrastructure and many more. I didn?Ûªt participated in it as I wanted to pursue MBA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid approximately Rs. 3,90,000 for 3 years in BBA. Every year I paid 1,30,000. SMU provides scholarships as well but completely based on merit and need based. I didn?Ûªt got the scholarship but one of friend was the lucky one, the scholarship helped him a lot in paying the fees.
Campus Life
Life at campus feels wonderful. I got to see different cultural programmes and festivals celebrated in the campus. There was a three day fest named as Kalraav fest, in which different collages participated in several events like dance, music, fashion shows, rock bands and etc.
Hostel Facilities
I wanted to feel part of the campus, so I chose the campus hostel. It had 24ÌÑ7 security service, libraries, parking facilities, semi- furnished room with attached washrooms and canteen that provided me 3-time meals facilities. I paid around Rs. 60,000 yearly for all these facilities and they were the best days of my life.
