The college campus is on its top notch it bares 6 accadamic blocks including other blocks and it's so good and well maintained and the garden is also very clean and beautiful everything is well organized
Getting some positive feedback from family and friends so i join this course.
Faculty is really good at teaching and i trust that it will improve my knowledge.

Dislikes

other than that the college has no other things that i disliked
the Campus of Humanities department is quite small
wifi is not functional and cannot be used

Best times spend at SMU

Likes

The faculties are well trained and helpful.
The internship opportunities are vast and the university gives equal opportunities to all students
Cultural activities and co curricular activities are encouraged.

Dislikes

The Hostel fee is high and thus I had opted for different option for living.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and in touch with todays world. The seminars conducted are highly valuable as it gives insights about the Research world. I have gained innumerable research experience and polished my confidence in presenting papers.

Likes

Campus and there views and security are very good
Labs and there facilitys that they provide to student
Senior are verry friendly and Frank to junior

Dislikes

Professors they show verry attitude to cse students
Coding culture are verry bad in smit not that good
Behaviour of college staff is verry bad..

Placement Experience:

The placement was ok not really good not really bad and most of the campany that come in our campus were mass recruiters some MNCs also come, like Google but they take very low students from smit like 2-3 students

The environment of our college the natural beauty and the mountains covered ara
The academic faculty of the college , the teaching staffs are very friendly
Everyone in this college has a very friendly and capable attitude

Dislikes

Attendance factors of the college has created me some troubles

The students have a good academic record till the pre final years are the one eligible for placement drives and campus placement. companies like accenture , infosys, sell, etc have shown interest in selecting candidates from SMIT

Likes

The teachers were very generous in my school.
The Head of the Dept, English of Salesian college siliguri was disrespectful and the teaching was lecture method
In Masters B.Ed the teacher were good and practical knowledge was more we did more hands on experience in the course.and the curriculum framework was also relevant to the present day.

Dislikes

The number of units to be covered was really huge and it was unnecessary
The teachers had groupism in the colleges I studied while pursuing my Degrees which in my opinion shouldn't be there
More theoretical knowledge than practical knowledge made the classes a bit boring so more activities are needed to engage the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The new curriculum framework helped me to choose the course of B.Ed which really helped me in my life theoretically and practically. More hands on experience i experienced was only in Loyola College of Education of all the institutions i studied.More practical knowledge and Audio visual Kinesthetic teaching method should be applied.timing of exams was accordingly.

Likes

The distance from my home town to my college town was so near about one hour distance
The students were very friendly to us as we have gone there with zero knowledge
The lab faculty specially sujeet sir was very nice person

Dislikes

My personal suggestion to the students to do not take addmission in distance college
Some vacancies don't provide eligibility to the correspondence students
Specialization not provided by the college as we get from regular courses

Placement Experience:

There was no placement facilities in the college honestly. I have suffered so many years but I got a job in Bank after facing so many interviews So if you are thinking that Sikkim Manipal University provide you the placement facilities, don't make a dream like this. It is bitter truth that the college does not provide any placement

Life of distance education

Likes

I was able to do my job without any problem.
Flexible exam dates and good quality centers
Offline and doubt clearing classes on weekends

Dislikes

Nothing much. All was good. Efforts were to be made by students
Job placements or assistance was missing.
Not much recognized university due to distance mode of education

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was a standard MBA program- Accounting, Marketing being main subjects. Others secondary subjects were also upto real-world situations and demands. Exams were of good standard. Need to prepare well enough but not stressful.

college campus, teachers , technical facilities and the faculties supporting the students in every aspects .
the placements cell worked very effectively on a war mode basics to help each and every student to get place in the available .
the infrastructure is very good . it has an auditorium , sports area named marena, play area, hostels .

Dislikes

NA, as there are no such things i disliked regarding the college .
NA, the play area is a bit smaller in compared to the campus
NA, the extreme clashes or fighting between different student gangs ,

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. companies in which some of the big names are DELL, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, STATE STREET, KEYSIGHT TECH . The highest package is 54 LPA (google) and avg package was around 4-5 LPA. 80% students get placements. my plan is to pursue m.tech

My Opinion About My Collage Sikkim Manipal University

Likes

Easy LMS for those who choose a online and distance learning
Weekly lectures for subjects and you can direct interact with your teacher and ask anything about that particular topic
One more benifit about that if your are job professional and work full time than you can choose online learning for your higher education

Dislikes

Sometimes it also happens that the teacher who is teaching you is not able to explain the subject properly and is not able to clear your doubts.
If you are doing online learning, then before taking admission in it, you must know what kind of laptop is required for the exam, then you can talk to the college authority
And the most useless thing is that to complete the assignment given in this, you have to keep the Plagiarism and Artificial intelligence score less than 20%, otherwise your marks will be cut or you can also fail if this score is more than 40%

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is also very good. It gives the opportunity to work in big companies. It just depends on how intelligent the student is and how much experience or knowledge he has. The minimum salary of the students employed by our college is Rs. 2.70 lakh per annum and goes up to Rs. 4 to 5 lakh.

Clinicals are good the learning environment is also pretty good
Classes are quite spacious and good facilities are provided
Libraries for books are good and all books are available

Dislikes

The hostel food in mess is really disgusting
Its quite expensive as compared to other nursing colleges
The exam fees should be included in tuition fee

Placement Experience:

After conpletion of the course the placement is done Not sure Maybe from25000 to 50000 Everyone will get placements after tge course its on them to choose or nit Going abroad is my plans if everything goes well

I have a few friends from Sikkim Manipal University and according to them, it is not a great place for innovative ideas and opportunities. It is a good option if you just want a degree. Here are some of the perks of joining the institute.

There are over 15 clubs at SMIT. The club culture is quite good at the institute. If you want you can start your own club too.
It has a great geographic landscape. There are awesome places that you can visit.
It helps in the all-round development of students.

Overall SMIT is not a bad option for distance learning.
