Himalayan Pharmacy Institute is a pioneer pharmaceutical institute located in Majitar, the border town of West Bengal and Sikkim. The institute was established by Dr H.P. Chhetri in 1990 and governed by the Government of Sikkim, AICTE and PCI. Himalayan Pharmacy Institute was affiliated with Sikkim University. As per NIRF 2023 Ranking, Himalayan Pharmacy Institute is ranked 98 in India.

Himalayan Pharmacy Institute offers admission in D. Pharm, B. Pharm, M. Pharm, and Ph.D.
Admission to D.Pharm and B.Pharm at Himalayan Pharmacy Institute is based on the merit of the qualifying exam.

i didn't join other college, directly i got admitted in this college. i got confirmed admission in this college by advance booking of 50000 to book my seat. I choose this college from other college because it was near from my home and I have my uncle working in this college, by the help of him I got the support and saved from ragging from seniors. i didn't applied to any other college after my class 12th. direct admission by advance payment . eligibility is 10+2 with science with minimum 60% marks in PCM/PCB. No exam or entrance for admission.

AN INTERESTING STORY OF A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Admission:

U applied to skim Manipal institute of medical science and SRM from where I got confirmed admission but u chose this college as it is nearby by home and it's easy for me and safer for me to study nearby by home . Yes I didnot get a seat in SMIM as i am from OBC category and the seats were limited. The admission process here is quite simple you submit your mark sheets and wait for verification

I have quite seen the changes in me that has been appreciated by family and friends. Personally I have grown a lot in terms of leadership, team building etc.

Admission:

For admission 60% marks in class 12 is required to be obtained. Admission process is not at all hectic and it's easy and convenient. No exams are conducted for admission. Admission are done on merit basis. I didn't get a rejectioj from any other colleges. I particularly applied for this institute as it is one of the oldest and best college in Sikkim. Many students from across India come to study here.

Third thing about this college is, it is safe for girls. Cctv cameras are everywhere in corridors. Girls have different reading room in library.
First thing I liked as soon as I entered is the college environment. Less dust more green environment. You can see flowers, we have one wisdom tree. There are ducks in their little pond. It's cute.

Dislikes

I disliked the uniform. In hot weather it is difficult for girls to put up with kurta and chunni. Uniform can have modification
Instruments and chemicals in the lab are of very old dates. Some chemicals are expired. Management can invest some money in lab equipments

I did not opt for any other college. I took admission in this college directly because of the safety and placement parameters. For admission, you need to contact to the college administration. Contact number will be provided in its website. You need to fill the form. Acceptance was done (2020) on the basis of 12th marksheet. Now CUET is applicable for admission. Your payment will be upfront.

Infrastructure of laboretory is so good and comfortable.

Vacations are too less in the college there are so many events they are not giving propper vacation
I thik they should work on their building fees wise the college iss too small

So I didn't apply in others college because I wanted to become a aircraft maintenance Engineer but my number's are less in maths so I'm not eligible to do the AME course that's why I choose this college apply the college and they checked my qualification I had got 75%in 10+2 and to take admission our college 60% marks in PCB is necessary

I got 450 in neet and I got no seats as I am from OBC caste and I also got two engineering government colleges but I had no interest in engineering. I didn't choose them. I wanted to do something in medical field that's why I chose this course
