Likes

Teachers teaching style is very advanced
Pratical lab facilities are very useful for those who cant afford laptop
Learning n teaching methods are very helpful

Dislikes

Timing of class is very early which make us to get up early
Fees are very high for poor student..so lots of friend stop learning at the middle of semester
Surrounding area are very disturbing sometimes class is going

Exam pattern is mcq... which save our time for not writing long answers instead we can use our brain to think faster n do faster..now our world is computet base so we applied for it but in our state its horrible outside more useful...

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

15 thousans per sem... no scholarship for being general . ..including some other charges may be arond 1.5 lakh ...obc n minority are students getting their scholarship..1 or 2 campus employment was there but we didn't apply as we want further education .

Campus Life

Annual foundation day, participation in mela, competition with other teams, participation in sports lots of other activities are performed even in short periods of time ...library provide books which we cant afford..

Admission

12 pass ..maths compulsory..forms are available in smu website n all detailed are afforded by them ..no entrance exam as ot was first time in our state openings such great institution..exam question were from difficultly to simple level

Faculty

Most of them are very qualified professors.. some of them r even simple programmers but their ways of teaching give us new light in our life..so we even want to become great people..twachets support us in every time whenever we need their help

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is pretty good for the b.tech students like this year they are getting average of 7 lacs per annum but in BCA course it is 3 lakh or 4 lakh per Adam but in MCA it is 6to7 lakhs

Bca in smit

Course Curriculum Overview:

-So in 12th I was not having maths and I want to learn the coding skills therefore I opt for Bca course - In BCA we study only coding related subjects and it's same like btech just the difference is the name of the course - the area is also good and wifi campus - In every 2-3 weeks you will have exams. In each semester you will have to appear for 2 written session exams(50 marks) and 2 quiz (5marks) and at last the main semester end exam. If I talk about the exam level it's easy only, all the syllabus is from the topic teacher has discussed in the classes and questions in previous years question paper.

Calming Life at SMIT

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placements opportunity. And the placement opportunity is above 95% . Various companies such as Dell, Infosys, Infotech, Wipro, Amazon, etc. come for placement and offer around 3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs of packages to the students. The highest package offered for BCA students are 7 lakhs and average is 4.5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree is to get a join to get an experience and then pursue MBA or MCA.

Remarks:

The ambience in SMIT is so favourable for Quality studying. Located in the bank of Teesta river in Sikkim and free from noise, air pollution, This college gives numerous facilities to students like well equipped labs, high speed wifi, sports complex and many more. There are other facilities like atm, shopping stores inside the campus, multi cuisine food court and many more. The placements are also extremely wonderful.
