Remarks

The campus is very large and filled with opportunities. There is huge diversity in the kind of people that come to VIT. This provides with great exposure to people. Furthermore, The equipment at VIT is also world class which means that you have great opportunities, both academic and extra curricular. Finally, the placements of VIT are very good. However, the problems are also along the same lines. Because of huge population, you have a lot of competition for everything. Also, like most of the non-IIT colleges in India, the placements are great for only CSE, ECE, and circuit branches. Finally, VIT is a strict college and takes its rules very seriously. Any form of ill-received behavior may result in huge consequences like suspension or expulsion.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Ideally, the course in Electronics and communication Engineering is very hands-on type but it depends on how one utilizes it. There are several projects, assignments, and labs which include a lot of field work. If used properly, these experiences can result in great leap in knowledge. But many-a-times, students and some faculties do not take these activities seriously and only concentrate on theory. So be mindful of the way you utilize your course.

Placement Experience

3.5

Most of the students are placed in software profiles. The placement for software students is excellent. Almost every one gets placed with good package. The students from other branches have very limited opportunities and only the absolute best get placed in these spots. The employability after graduating is very individual and cannot be singled out.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of ECE program is a little steep; mounting up to 2 lakhs per year. However, there are funding opportunities if you look for them. I got a scholarship of 50k per year from the university because of my merit in VITEEE exam but there are funding opportunities after joining the campus too.

Campus Life

4

The campus of VIT Vellore is huge and very beautiful. There is a lake which serves for some great pictures. There are several hangout spots for students like foodys, greenos, DC, etc. Evenings at VIT are mostly vibrant and filled with many daily events. Every week there are dance shows, talent competitions, or some private event of a club or chapter at greenos. Anyone can interview to join these clubs and chapters. Every club has something different to offer, so make sure to take part in all the clubs you are interested in. There are some technical teams too which recruit a team of enthusiastic people to work and compete in competitions all over the world. Riviera and Gravitas are the two fests of VIT. Gravitas is a technical fest with several educational workshops and events Riviera is the cultural fest. The four days of Riviera are probably the best 4 days of the year at VIT. From cultural events like Aikya to the pro-shows, the 4 days of Riviera are a blast. The infrastucture at VIT is excellent and has all kinds of facilities a student could ask imagine. BUT THE WORST THING ABOUT VIT IS THE CURFEW, WHICH MEANS PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THESE FACILITIES OR ROAM AROUND THE CAMPUS PAST 8:30 pm unless you have a special permission.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel services are average and people should not expect much from it. However, if you are rich and smart, you can elect the room of your choice and have a relatively comfortable stay at VIT. The food is below average. However, the restaurants just outside VIT, although not very healthy, serve extremely tasty food.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
